Area15 is bringing its widely popular immersive art and entertainment to Orlando come 2024. Have you noticed a giant robot that has recently popped up on I-4? Allow me to introduce you to the Mechan 11, the tallest current resident in Florida and the physical reminder that there are new artistic adventures awaiting us!
What Is It?
Area15 is a Las Vegas based entertainment company set out to create huge immersive and interactive spaces that highlight art, technology and fun. Delayed by COVID, their decision to open an Orlando location has been years in the making. Now that it’s safer to continue engineering and planning, they are focused on just that!
The same wacky and exciting ideas behind Mega Mart, Meow Wolf and the Klimt and Vincent Van Gogh experiences are being implemented right now for the newest Vegas-style entertainment complex.
Interactive Exhibits and Restaurants
Like a lot of the social houses we’ve seen pop up the last few years, Area15’s goal is to create a large-scale socially driven environment that offers more than one reason to visit. Not only will guests be able to take part in the larger than life art exhibits, but they’ll be able to choose from different restaurant options, shopping and bars. By creating this space, it’s another win-win for the community. It’s going to create more jobs, boost the tourism economy, and bring a new bucket list destination to Orlando. (I think that’s a win-win-win.)
What We Know
We can only go off rumors for now in regards to what theming the attraction will have but based on all other experiences it’s due to impress us with its grandiosity. Here’s what we do know:
- Area15 Orlando will be a unique experience, set up completely different from the Las Vegas establishment
- Will offer rental spaces for local bars, shops, restaurants to showcase their menus and products
- All ages are welcome until 10:00 pm, then it is 21+
- There will be permanent and rotating events throughout the year
Overall
There’s an immense amount of hype behind this opening and rightfully so. It’s been back to back successful and highly sought after experiences being pushed out by the teams at Area15! What do you think will be featured when it’s officially open?
