If your job’s a joke, you’re broke, or your love life’s DOA, we’ve got the place for you! Believe it or not, a Friends themed coffee shop sits nestled in Baldwin Park in Central Florida. Baldwin Perk has all kinds of delicious foods and drinks named after your favorite Friends characters! We stopped by this week to “Pivot” towards the delicious foods, and enjoy the super cool Friends decor throughout the shop!
Baldwin Perk and Tutto Caffe
Baldwin Perk is also known as Tutto Caffe. Here, you can find delicious Italian treats like gelato and New York classics like New York Style Cheesecake at this location. The vibe was super cool as soon as we walked in, and this place stays busy! Even when we visited during the week on a Tuesday, there were plenty of guests there participating in business meetings, enjoying a sweet treat, or just relaxing on the Friends themed couches. All around the coffee shop, there are a variety of tables and chairs, cozy couches and sofas, and high top bar settings to settle down in, as well as outdoor seating.
To the left of the shop is the area where you order, as well as a fridge stocked full with a variety of soft drinks and canned beers and wine. Then there is a massive display case with pastries and desserts right next to this. Seriously, there were so many to look at!
As far as the Friends decor comes in, there were several TVs playing different Friends episodes in the shop. The most obvious of the Friends decor were the couches displayed with many different themed pillows. Honestly though, I was surprised by how many subtle touches there were throughout the shop, and hidden elements that only a true Friends fan would recognize! For example, the door to the bathroom had the same picture frame design on it that is easily recognizable from the show on Monica’s door. On the coffee table, there were also coasters that had several different Friends quotes or iconic moments on them!
Food & Drinks
The food and drink options here were endless, with so many options from flatbreads to crepes! We ordered the Vegetarian Flatbread and the Southwest Chicken Sandwich, and both were delicious and full of flavor! I definitely have some of the Friends breakfast items on my list for next time though, like Joey’s breakfast. This is composed of avocado toast, smoked salmon, egg, cream cheese, arugula, and tomato. As an added bonus, with any purchase of a breakfast item, mimosas are only $5!
Of course, we couldn’t skip dessert, so I went for the crepe named after my favorite Friends character – Chandler. The Chandler’s Crepe is a caramel crepe with bananas, powdered sugar, and whipped cream. My favorite thing about the crepes were how fresh they were! You can literally watch them make the crepes after ordering, and the freshness made them extra delicious. We also took home some of their pastries, and the Turtle Cheesecake definitely stood out as our favorite! It was the perfect blend of sweet and savory and we enjoyed every bite, thankfully nothing tasted like Rachel’s Trifle! The gelato also looked delicious, and they have so many flavors including mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream – I definitely want to try those next!
For delicious food, and the opportunity to galavant with other Friends fanatics, check out Baldwin Perk in Baldwin Park! And don’t worry, for more fun recommendations for things to do in Central Florida, I’ll be there for you.
