Best Spots to Dine on Park Ave in Winter Park

Don’t you just love places around town you can spend all day at? Breakfast, lunch, dinner, or all of the above is at your fingertips when you’re on Park Avenue in Winter Park. We’ve got details on some of the best spots to dine along this street after a long day of strolling in the park or shopping. Read more to check out four of our favorites!

1. LALE Mediterranean Cuisine

When you crave the tastes of authentic Turkish delights, head straight to LALE Mediterranean Cuisine. This eatery brings a warm, inviting atmosphere filled with refined Turkish dishes that you can enjoy indoors or outdoors, weather permitting.

Some of LALE’s most popular dishes include lamb sis kebab, moussaka, bronzini sea bass, and sweet desserts like baklava.

This spot is open from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on weekdays and from noon to 10 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, respectively.

2. Power House Cafe

Good food to get the day going has Power House Cafe written all over it. Located at the intersection of Lyman and Park avenues, this spot specializes in Greek morning cuisine.

Falafel on pita, fattoush, homemade hummus, egg salad wraps, and tasty smoothies like chocolate escape and almond lovers are breakfast go-to's at this spot.

Power House Cafe is open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., so you have plenty of time throughout the day to feast on these fares!

3. Bonsai Tea

In need of a quick, tasty drink in the midst of exploring all of Park Ave’s offerings? Bonsai Tea has got you covered! This shop is crazy about tea and offers a wide variety of flavors to choose from.

You can opt for a signature tea, a taro special, milk tea, fruit tea, slushies (yes, even these have tea!), herbal tea, sparkling tea, caffeinated tea, or even coffee.

We tried the strawberry bliss fruit tea with strawberry, lemon, and jasmine tea, and it was heavenly! The baristas let you sample your drink before serving you to see if you want to add more flavor, ensuring good flavors down to a tea!

Our barista, Sarah Andreasen, was super helpful and detailed her favorite part about working at Bonsai Tea!

“Honestly, it’s really fun to interact with the customers,” she said. “You get to try your tea and personalize your tea how you like it.”

You can even purchase unique pillows, candles, stickers, and earrings at this local shop!

Get your tea your way from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sundays through Wednesdays and until 10 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays.

4. Umi Japanese Restaurant

Get your sushi and grilled meats all in one spot when you dine at Umi Japanese Restaurant. This place is well known for its charcoal-grilled meats, unique rolls, and fusion entrées!

When dining here, you’ll definitely want to try the kanpungi, wagyu tartare, beef short ribs, and yakisoba noodles. If you’re feeling sushi, it’s only right you order Umi’s Park Avenue Roll!

Taste all of Umi’s treats on Mondays through Thursdays from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., until 11 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, and until 9 p.m. on Sundays.


Overall

In addition to these hot spots being located on one of Winter Park’s most notable streets, they’re all within walking distance of each other! So, if you wanted to spend the whole day on Park Ave, you truly could! Hungry is one thing you won’t be when visiting this side of town.

Park Avenue District

The Park Avenue District is a little slice of Winter Park history and is well known for its myriad of shops, restaurants, boutiques, and local businesses.
