The Halloween season is here and many are flocking to the awarded Best Halloween Event: Halloween Horror Nights! Throughout the years, the event has become widely known for its changing menu and new merchandise. We visited this year to give you the scoop on the best merch and food served with a side of screams.

Scary Bites

The food this year was honestly the best I’ve tried from a Horror Nights event in several years. Their signature drinks are the “Electric Death” with gin, and “Ghoul Juice” with rum. Both were very tasty and able to be served with or without a souvenir cup. Our favorite drink of the night however was the “Save Your Tears” from The Weekend stall, containing bourbon and peach brandy with boba inside.

Located all the way up on the 16th floor of Coronado Springs Resort at Walt Disney World is Toledo. This restaurant serves up Spanish inspired cuisine, in a beautiful setting with a rooftop view of the parks.

High Tech Elevator

I don’t know if anyone will be as fascinated by what I’m about to say as myself, but getting to Toledo was truly so much fun. This resort is stunning, and the elevators are so high tech! Upon entering the elevator lobby, I quickly realized that the touch screens aren’t your usual elevator buttons where you simply click up or down. Instead, you press the floor that you are traveling to on the touch screen. It will then tell you the numbered elevator to get into. Once you step inside, it will take you straight up to the floor…

This week we visited the recently renovated Steakhouse 71. The Wave restaurant originally sat in this spot at the Contemporary Resort. However, it transitioned to Steakhouse 71 to celebrate the beginning of the 50th anniversary in Walt Disney World. We were truly impressed with the food, drinks, service, and ambience. I can’t wait to dive into everything that makes Steakhouse 71 so unique!

The Theming

When you walk into the restaurant, you’ll immediately be immersed into the theming of Steakhouse 71. As the name suggests, the restaurant is themed in celebration of 1971, the year Walt Disney World opened. The best way I could describe the decor is a tasteful approach to 70s style. The light fixtures are super neat, and the entire restaurant…
