Cafè Barista

I’m on a quest to try every coffee shop in Orlando, and this week my journey took me to Cafè Barista. This coffee shop is located adjacent to the courthouse in the heart of Kissimmee. With delicious food, tasty drinks, and a relaxed atmosphere, this might be one of my new favorite places to visit.

Drinks

Cafè Barista has a relatively small drink menu, featuring simple coffees, teas, and juices. We opted for an iced coffee with vanilla and an oolong tea, and both were great! Their display case also holds sparkling waters, juices, and milks for anyone skipping the caffeine.

Omelettes and Sandwiches

What truly impressed me about Cafè Barista was the food. Everything was delicious and they theme their menu to match their location. This includes omelettes and sandwiches on their menu named “Hearsay”, “Lawyer”, and “The Defended Omelette”. With these, you definitely won’t forget you’re visiting a shop right next to the courthouse.

We tried the avocado toast and it was simple yet so good, on multigrain bread with parmesan cheese and tomatoes. They also have a variety of waffles, and since it’s the season of Stranger Things we opted for the M&M Waffles – Eleven herself would be proud. Drizzled with nutella and covered with m&ms and powdered sugar, these waffles were incredible. Some m&ms were baked into the waffles so that they had a crispy exterior, but a soft and gooey middle. You can also get the Nutella Waffles which also have nutella, but in place of m&ms have coconut flakes and sliced almonds on top for a tropical taste.

Ambience

The interior of the cafè is decorated beautifully, and the music playing will trick you into thinking you’ve traveled to a cafè in Europe. There are a multitude of tables, chairs, and high tops by the windows, with plenty of room to enjoy your treats, study, or relax. They also have a small market which has a variety of houseware items available for purchase like salt and pepper shakers, decorations and more. At their counter, you can also purchase their house made spreads, teas, and more to bring the flavors of the cafè home with you.

Overall

Cafè Barista is a wonderful coffee shop to check out in Kissimmee whether you’re looking for delicious food or a cup of joe to start the day. In a location right next to the courthouse, I’m sure that this cafè keeps the lawyers and judges (coffee) grounded.
