Museum/Tour
Here at the Chocolate Museum and Café, you can take a guided tour of their famous chocolate museum! The tour starts with a short presentation, then you are whisked away to the tropical rainforest to learn about cacao. After that, you will go back in time to learn about the history of chocolate and its origins. You’ll then enter the sculpture area, which has 25 solid chocolate sculptures of some of the world’s most famous landmarks and people. Some of the sculptures you’ll see include Mount Rushmore and the Eiffel Tower!
Also, on this part of the tour, you will see some really cool antique machinery that was used to make chocolate in the early days. Now for one of the best parts – the tasting! The tour concludes in the tasting room where you will get to sample some of the most delicious chocolate from all over the world. All tours are guided and are approximately 45 minutes long.
Café
After you’ve made your way through the chocolate museum, grab a savory or sweet treat at the café. If you are thirsty, try some of their delicious coffee, creamy hot chocolate, or their incredible drinking chocolate! They also have gelato, milkshakes, and affogato – which is gelato with coffee. Their delicious pastries include croissants, madeleines, Nutella panini, mini cakes, and amazing artisan house made chocolate truffles. If you are looking for something a little less sweet, they offer many kinds of paninis here including American, Caprese, Italian, Mediterranean, French, Spanish, Chicken Avocado, and more! I highly recommend anything at this cafe for a quick snack or savory lunch.
Overall
The delicious smell of chocolate wafts through the air of the entire museum and will leave your mouth watering. What’s even better, is that you can sample the chocolate right there! If you are a chocolate lover and are looking to learn more about the history behind this incredibly tasty treat, you must stop at this must see location.
