Cinderella’s Royal Table vs Be Our Guest

Have you ever wanted to dine like royalty at Walt Disney World? At Magic Kingdom, there are two different castles with two very unique restaurants inside of them – Cinderella’s Royal Table and Be Our Guest! These are also the two hardest dining reservations to get in Magic Kingdom. Not sure which one to choose? Here is our guide for which one may be a better choice for you.

Atmosphere and Theming

Cinderella’s Royal Table

Cinderella’s Royal Table is on the second floor of Cinderella Royal Castle at Magic Kingdom. Once you enter the dining room, it truly has that “royal castle” feel. The décor is regal and elegant. There are beautiful stained-glass windows, high cathedral ceilings, gorgeous gothic-esque archways. The room feels very bright and open, it’s lovely. Another plus is that you have a great view of Fantasyland, which is just below you. However, there are a lot of tables that are close together in the dining room and it can be very loud.

Be Our Guest

Be Our Guest Restaurant is in Beast’s Castle at Magic Kingdom. As soon as you walk through the doors of the restaurant, you will feel as if you just entered the Beauty and the Beast movie! Beast’s Castle also has an elegant, royal castle feel. There are three different dining rooms in the Castle: The Main Ballroom, the West Wing, and the Rose Gallery. The Main Ballroom is massive in size and features three enormous chandeliers and a beautiful mural painted on the ceiling. The windows are nearly floor to ceiling and through the windows, you can see a peaceful, soft snowfall. This is by far the loudest and busiest of the three rooms. The Rose Gallery room features a huge Beauty and the Beast music box and paintings hung on the walls. This is usually the quietest room of the three. The West Wing is a dimly lit room that has a very romantic feel to it. This is the room that houses the enchanted rose and has a picture of Prince Adam before he was transformed into “the Beast”.

Winner

While these are both amazing and beautiful, there is nothing quite like eating inside of the icon that is Cinderella Castle. Eating at Cinderella’s Royal Table is the only way that guests can go inside of the castle. Also, if you are dining here at night, you have a cool view of the fireworks!

Characters

Cinderella’s Royal Table

At Cinderella’s Royal Table, you can expect to meet a lot of your favorite Princesses. Of course, first and foremost, you will meet Cinderella. You may also meet Princess Jasmine, Ariel, Aurora, Snow White and sometimes, even Belle! It is a great place to meet the Princesses and the setting makes it even more special. Yes, you can meet all these Princesses around Magic Kingdom but meeting them inside of the castle is something you’ll never forget!

*Character Meet & Greets are modified at this location. As of right now, guests can only take pictures with Cinderella. The other Princesses will be back soon! *

Be Our Guest

At Be Our Guest, you will have a special opportunity to meet the Beast! The Beast is a very rare character to meet at the parks so it’s a unique experience to be able to meet him at his own castle!

*Character Meet & Greets are modified at this location. As of right now, Beast will walk through the dining rooms to take pictures*

Winner

This was also very hard to choose a winner for this category but due to the rarity of meeting the Beast, the winner here is Be Our Guest. As I mentioned before, you can meet all of the Princesses throughout Magic Kingdom (and Walt Disney World for that matter) but Be Our Guest is the exclusive meet and greet spot for Beast.

Appetizers

At Cinderella’s Royal Table, you can expect to meet a lot of your favorite Princesses. Of course, first and foremost, you will meet Cinderella. You may also meet Cinderella’s Royal Table serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The lunch and dinner menu are done Prix-Fixe style, which includes an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. Breakfast is also done Prix-Fixe but offers a pastry plate as an appetizer and you may choose your entrée. Winner

Be Our Guest is the winner in this category. They have more of a selection for both kids and adults and that is very important when traveling with picky eaters, individuals with dietary restrictions and kids.

Cinderella’s Royal Table

Cinderella’s Royal Table is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For breakfast, you can choose from entrees like Traditional Breakfast, Shrimp and Grits, Baked Quiche, Beef Tenderloin and Egg, Royal Avocado Toast and Caramel-Apple-stuffed French Toast. Lunch and dinner have the same menu and you can choose from entrees such as Magic Carpet Ride (Pork Tenderloin with Couscous), Tenderloin of Beef, When Will My Life Begin Chicken and Pasta, Chickpea Panisse, and the Sustainable Catch of the Day. The kid’s menu entrees include Seared Fish of the Day, Beef Tenderloin, Chicken Nuggets, and Macaroni & Cheese. Since this is a Prix-Fixe menu, you may choose only one entrée from the menu. View the full menu here.

Be Our Guest

Be Our Guest is open daily for lunch and dinner. Like Cinderella’s Royal Table, lunch and dinner share the same menu. For your entrée, you may choose from Herb-salted Pork Tenderloin, Vadouvan Spiced Vegetables, Center-cut Filet Mignon, Pan-seared Sea Scallops, and Poulet Rouge Chicken. The kid’s menu entrees include Grilled Beef Tenderloin, Pan-seared Chicken Breast and House-made Macaroni & Cheese. View the full menu here.

Winner

Even though Cinderella’s Royal Table is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and has a wider selection of food, Be Our Guest takes this category. The food at Cinderella’s Royal Table is good but the food at Be Our Guest is better. The Center-cut Filet Mignon was delicious!

Desserts

Cinderella’s Royal Table

Now for the grand finale…dessert! Cinderella’s Royal Table gives you a choice of three tasty Cinderella-themed desserts. The first choice is Jac & Gus, which is a cheesecake with seasonal flavors and garnishes. The Clock Strikes Twelve is the second choice and that is a dark chocolate mousse with a caramel and crunchy praline center. The third choice is Coffee Pots de Crème which is coffee-infused coconut custard, passion fruit gelee and crumbled espresso beans. The kid’s menu dessert choices are The Sword in the Sweet (cookies and cream cheesecake mousse with chocolate cookie crumble and a cookie sword), Build-Your-Own-Cupcake, Yogurt Parfait, and Seasonal Sorbet.View the full menu here.

Be Our Guest

Be Our Guest Restaurant doesn’t give you a menu to choose one dessert, they give you a dessert trio! Included in this dessert trio are Lemon Jam Macaron, Chocolate Tart (topped with the Grey Stuff) and a Dark Chocolate Truffle. They are perfect servings of each dessert! If you would like a plant-based dessert, they offer the Vanilla Cake with Lemon Curd. The kid’s dessert menu includes the dessert trio or seasonal fruit.View the full menu here.

Winner

I’ve tried the desserts at both restaurants and while they both have good dessert choices; the winner is Be Our Guest. The Dessert Trio is amazing, and I love that you can try three things instead of ordering one big dessert that you may or may not enjoy. The Grey Stuff alone would win this category. It is true what they say in Beauty and the Beast, “try the grey stuff, it’s delicious!”

Overall Winner

If you had to choose between Cinderella’s Royal Table or Be Our Guest, I would suggest choosing Be Our Guest. It is a beautifully themed restaurant; the food and dessert are amazing, and you can meet the Beast! Both restaurants are great, and I highly recommend eating at both at least once to try them, but I would be more likely to eat at Be Our Guest multiple times.

Which one of these royal restaurants is your favorite?
