Colorado Fondue Company

Can you think of anything more delicious this time of year than savory cheese and melted chocolate? Colorado Fondue Company, located in Casselberry, serves up delicious fondue all year long. However, this visit was especially fun because the restaurant is currently decked out in Halloween decor and serving up Halloween specials!

The Ambiance

Throughout the year, Colorado Fondue Company is decorated to look like a winter chateau or ski lodge! Everywhere you look you’ll see this theming coming through, with wooden beams above your head and a fireplace when you walk into the building. At this time of year, there is an added bonus of Halloween decor!

When I heard about their special Halloween menu, I was not expecting how well decorated the building would be to match! Everywhere we looked there were festive lights, spiders, ghosts, and skeletons setting the theme for the spooky season. Behind my head while we ate there was even a little graveyard! The decorations made the meal even more fun, and really got me excited for the Halloween season! I also read on their menu that they have special Christmastime decorations and specials coming in November as well. I will definitely have to go back to take in the Christmas season when the time comes!

The Food

Let me start by saying that I was very impressed by the food and drinks at this restaurant. Not only was everything we tried totally delicious, but the cost of the meal was very well worth it for the amount of food that we received. We even went home with leftovers!

How It Works

The restaurant serves up four course meals, three of them fondue courses. The cost of your courses is determined by the protein you would like for your third course. For example, the first level with pork, chicken, sirloin, and shrimp is $26 per person. The highest level with filet, sea scallops, short rib, shrimp, and chicken is $43 per person. So it really just depends on which proteins you would like for that third course!

The first course for all of the meals is a soup or a salad. We had the special Halloween salad with mandarin oranges, feta cheese, pumpkin seeds, and a blood orange vinaigrette. It was so yummy!

The second course is one of my favorites, the cheese fondue course! For this part of the meal, you get to choose which type of cheese you’d like, with dippers like bread, broccoli, apples, and grapes. I literally could have swam in the Fontina Tuscany with fontina, asiago, monterey jack, and pesto!

The third course is probably considered the main course of the meal, when the proteins and veggies are served. This part was super neat, because you get a large hot rock to cook your food on!

And lastly of course is the chocolate fondue, another one of my favorites. We chose the Baileys and salted caramel option, and I definitely highly recommend it. With dippers like donut holes, cream puffs, pound cake, strawberries, and bananas, I truly am still dreaming about dessert.

The Drinks

When it comes to drinks, they have a limited time menu with Halloween themed cocktails. At our table we tried the Graveyard Smash which had strawberry vodka, raspberry prosecco, lemonade, and sprite, and the Whiskey Devil Smash with blackberries and lemon. My personal favorite of the night was the Yummy Mummy Mojito which was a classic mojito with the addition of cherry and berries mixed in! All of the drinks were served with special Halloween straws and some even had glow sticks or other surprises inside!

Casselberry

Casselberry is a beautiful part of Orlando located very close to Maitland and Winter Park. This is an area of Orlando with that small town feel, while still being about 45 minutes to the theme parks, and 20 minutes from Downtown. With lots of local restaurants, nature trails to walk through, and golf courses, this is a great place in Central Florida for those who like to take it easy but still be close to the fun. Curious what homes are available in Casselberry?
