Where is it?

Located only 19 miles from greater Orlando, Lake Mary is home to more than 16,000 residents. According to Nich.com, in 2023 it was ranked No. 22 out of 380 in the best suburbs to live in Florida.

What was once a citrus-based agricultural community incorporated in 1973 has since experienced great residential and economic development. Its grounds are home to hundreds of thousands of square feet of retail, office, and industrial uses.

Cruise east on Interstate 4 and find a safe, lively community that thrives as one of the fastest growing cities in Central Florida. This city has a low crime rate and is home to some of the safest neighborhoods in the region. Those looking to move here will find an abundance of affordable yet trendy apartments, luxury townhomes, and a variety of rental properties. Families with kids can find a variety of public schools in Lake Mary such as Crystal Lake Elementary School, Greenwood Lakes Middle School, and Lake Mary High School.

Alaqua Lakes

Alaqua Lakes, with a technical Longwood address but most consider it Lake Mary due to its proximity to the area, is one of the bestselling subdivisions in the Orlando area and is located off Markham Woods Road at the end of Lake Mary Boulevard. Residents here enjoy a seven-acre community park that boasts a pavilion, heated pool, five tennis courts, a basketball court, and a multipurpose ball field.

This neighborhood sits on the more luxurious side of homes as most range in a value from the mid $500's to over $2M!

Cardinal Oaks

Cardinal Oaks is a quiet suburb in Lake Mary filled with a variety of custom-built homes located just off Country Club Road. There are just under 100 lots in this community, with homes built between 1979 and 1990. Homes here range in price from the high $300's to the low $700's, with the average price for a home sold over the past year in the mid $500's. Cardinal Oaks is the perfect community for those looking for simple suburban living, at an average price for the area.

Carisbrooke

Carisbrooke is a gated community in Lake Mary located off Markham and Markham Woods roads. This is a 44-lot subdivision with each lot sized at a minimum of one acre. Fun fact: this community is where you’ll find Southern Living Magazine’s custom building program! Those looking for traditional style homes surrounded by a variety of wildlife will find themselves a match made in heaven at Carisbrooke.

Homes in the Carisbrooke community range from $1-2M, with the average price for a home sold over the past year at $1.4M.

If you love shopping local, the Lake Mary Farmers Market will be your favorite place to go on the weekend. Every Saturday from 9 AM to 1 PM, there are a variety of vendors selling things like dog treats, jewelry, fresh produce, and handmade crafts.
