Starbucks is finally being given a run for its money — and it’s not by who you think. Dutch Bros Coffee has dominated the West Coast for quite some time now, and it’s about to take over Central Florida. Let’s check it out!
What Is Dutch Bros?
Dutch Bros Coffee is a renowned drive-through coffee chain on the West Coast. It was founded by Dane and Travis Boersma, with its headquarters located in Grants Pass, Oregon.
This franchise got its start in February of 1992 when the Boersma brothers were looking to start a new business amid their family’s struggling dairy farm. From an espresso-selling coffee cart and running a Dairy Queen franchise to their first Dutch Bros drive-through location in 1994, these brothers embarked on a journey to something great.
Although this coffee franchise is primarily located in the west, they have expanded and opened locations as far east as Tennessee and Alabama.
Soon, however, visitors from the west coming to Orlando will no longer have to go without their Dutch Bros as the company is opening quite a few locations in Central Florida — all in the Orlando area!
The New Dutch Bros Locations - Coming Soon!
Currently, there are two locations planned for Central Florida that have yet to open. One is west of Orlando in Clermont on South U.S. Highway 27, and the other is southwest of Orlando in Davenport on Jacks Road.
There have been talks that Dutch Bros has some more locations in mind - one on South Apopka Vineland Road and another in Four Corners at Osceola Polk Line and Kemp roads, with dates as to when still in the works. A location opening south of State Road 408 on Lake Underhill Road is still under preliminary review as well.
Construction for these sites began toward the end of 2023, with plans to open each location at some point this year.
What Dutch Bros Brings to the Table
There’s a reason westerners go crazy over Dutch Bros. From the hundreds of locations across Oregon, Washington, California, Texas, and more, this chain has a lot to offer.
You can zip through the drive-through and order any ordinary cup of hot or iced coffee, as well as flavored nitrogen-infused cold brews.
Dutch Bros is also known for its freezes, frosts, energy drinks, teas, smoothies, lemonades, and sodas.
Get snacks like chocolate chip, orange cranberry, and lemon poppyseed muffin tops, as well as tasty granola bars.

With the country’s ever-growing caffeine addiction, you can never go wrong with introducing more coffee shops. People thrive on variety and get tired of dining on the same things over and over again. Dutch Bros coming to Central Florida poses a breath of fresh air to coffee lovers and visiting westerners alike who are in search of their daily morning fix with heaps of new flavors.
