Good food and good vibes aren’t foreign to Orlando, especially not with the hot new Mexican restaurant in town: It’s called Kavas Tacos & Tequila, and it’s taking the Orlando taco scene by storm. Let’s check it out!
All About Kavas Tacos & Tequila
Kavas Tacos & Tequila is a new Mexican restaurant in Orlando that opened this past May, on Cinco de Mayo, and is located on International Drive in the Pointe Orlando Entertainment Complex.
This restaurant offers a diverse Mexican menu featuring classic flavors with unique twists — perfect for Mexican food lovers looking to spice up their palate with something new. It comes from the same masterminds behind locally loved restaurants Tapa Toro and Taverna Opa Orlando, so be prepared to have your expectations exceeded!
Kavas Tacos is not only bringing good eats to Orlando, but fantastic drinks too! Let loose, sip on some tequila, and dance the night away during the restaurant’s unique nightly entertainment.
See the fun for yourself Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays until 11 p.m.
What’s On the Menu
Most people have their go-to's when they decide to dine at a Mexican restaurant, but at Kavas Tacos & Tequila, you’re likely to find a variety of new favorites.
Go classic and order beef empanadas, carne asada, or grilled street corn, or switch it up with a carnitas platter, mezcal mango salmon, or surf and turf. You can also dine from the chill bar, which has a variety of seafood items, snap from the dips and fundidos, or enjoy a healthy salad.

If you don’t want tacos, order classics like chile relleno, a chicken chimichanga, or a “big ass burrito.” There are also platters like roasted half chicken, skirt steak, filet mignon and more.
There are also ample desserts such as coconut tres leches, churro donut sammies, cookies and horchata, and sundae el carnaval.
The Dining Experience and More
When dining at Kavas Tacos & Tequila, you can expect more than just an excellent dinner. Every night, this restaurant has live performances on their indoor stage, from all sorts of talented Orlando locals. We had the opportunity to watch a girl dance and perform with real fire, and what an experience that was!
The inside of the restaurant depicts the essence of Mexican culture and design, with brightly colored sugar skull and cactus murals, chairs adorned with the likeness of Mexican artist Frida Kahlo, and multiple hanging lights and colored fixtures throughout.
There is even some outdoor seating for those that wish to enjoy it on a cool Florida evening.
With live performances, great music, exceptional food, and authentic Mexican décor all throughout the restaurant, Kavas Tacos & Tequila offers so much to its visitors - all at an affordable price!
