Kissimmee Home Sells for $680K

By Holley Long

Kissimmee home in the Sonoma Resort sells after several months on the market at $680,000.

The Home

Built in 2018, the single family home has 8 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. An open floor plan downstairs provides a ton of space for the whole family when traveling to Florida on vacation, as does a spacious loft upstairs. There are also two sets of washer/dryers in the home, with a full set upstairs and a stacking set downstairs. The backyard features an in-ground pool and spa, enclosed by a covered lanai that also offers protection for the back porch.

The home is located in the Sonoma Resort, a gated short-term vacation rental resort with a pool and fitness center for residents’ use. It is fully furnished, and is perfect for a quick move in or to utilize as an investment property. The resort is also just minutes from the Disney World theme parks, The LOOP shopping district, and other entertainment and dining areas.

Sold

This home sold in the beginning of March at $680,000, over $40,000 more than what it last sold for in 2021. With homes of this size in this area, we’re seeing these sit for a bit longer on the market, with the average days on market at around 3 months. However, there is still demand for those seeking large vacation homes and investment properties.

Our team had the opportunity to represent the seller, while also helping another family find their perfect home in this area. If you’re looking to buy or sell, we would love to help you as well! Here’s a little bit about what our team had to say about this sale.

"Once we went under contract, my clients were pleased to have a quick and easy closing with my assistance. They plan to reinvest in similar rentals again in the future!"

Kissimmee/Sonoma Resort

Kissimmee spans over Osceola County into Orange, and it includes popular vacation destinations like Reunion and Celebration. As said above, Walt Disney World is just minutes away, but popular weekend spots for locals are Lake Toho and downtown Kissimmee, where you can find classic staples like print shops, barber shops, restaurants and even some shopping.

The average sale price of homes in Kissimmee is in the high $300’s, making it one of the most affordable places to live in the Orlando area. In the Sonoma Resort specifically, the average price is in the low $800’s for an 8 bedroom, 7 bathroom home. Kissimmee is certainly a great place to live, but the city’s location to popular tourist destinations makes it worthwhile to invest in a property that can be used as a short-term or long-term rental, so the homeowner has the opportunity to make back the cost of the sale.
