Kyuramen x TBaar Newly Opened in East Orlando

By Yasmene Warren

A new spot to taste authentic Japanese cuisine has just made landing in Orlando, with some unique seating I bet you've never seen before. Nestled in East Orlando near UCF is Kyuramen x TBaar, and it’s serving up sip-worthy soups galore. Let’s check it out!

What is Kyuramen x TBaar?

Kyuramen x TBaar is a ramen restaurant chain that recently opened up a new location at the end of 2023, located on Technological Avenue and University Boulevard near the University of Central Florida. This is only the second spot in Florida, with over 35 more restaurants across the country!

This spot specializes in serving unique ramen that has been carefully crafted by ramen masters.

The founder of this ramen joint visited Japan numerous times to ensure he absorbed the essence of ramen. He wanted to make a place where ramen could be an affordable and accessible cuisine — and so it came to be!

TBaar is a Japanese TBaar located at the entrance of Kyuramen, so if you’re just looking for something to quench your thirst, you can stop there without having to dine inside.

You can taste the splendor yourself Sunday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Savory Ramen

Each bowl of ramen comes with a white, thick, fresh, and fragrant soup base served with Japanese-style pork roast, a seven-minute boiled egg, and tasty green onions.

You can get the Tokyo tonkotsu shoyu ramen; Kyushu tonkotsu shio ramen; mega ramen with pork and shrimp; Sapporo miso ramen; Korean kimchi ramen; Kyushu spicy tonkotsu ramen; Japanese curry ramen; vegetable ramen; and chicken ramen.

We tried the gyoza dumplings and Kyushu tonkotsu shio ramen, and we were blown away by the immense flavors. The ramen was so good, we forgot to take a picture before diving in!

You also have the choice of feasting on wavy or straight ramen noodles. Extra protein and veggies are also available for a small up charge.

Split an appetizer like chili garlic edamame, pan fried gyoza dumplings, takoyaki octopus balls, steamed pork bao buns, ika geso kara-age (fried squid tentacle), and so much more.

Don't want to sit down and wait? TBaar not only has delicious drinks like teas and lemonades, but it also carries desserts like matcha pudding with red bean and Japanese cherry blossom jelly.

Inside the Restaurant

Dining at Kyuramen x TBaar brings about a classy yet cozy vibe that’s hard to find at any average ramen eatery.

From the walls adorned in traditional Japanese lanterns with cozy private nooks to dine in beneath them to the hexagonal dining spaces, you’re sure to be eating in style here.
