Marketplace at Avalon Park

What is it?

Marketplace at Avalon Park is settled quite nicely in East Orlando just southeast of Alafaya. With 9 distinctive food stalls, this social house has a variety of lunch and dinner options. There is even a brewery on site that offers indoor and outdoor seating, making this the perfect weekend spot for you and your friends. Here’s a list of all the food stalls and what to expect when visiting Marketplace!

Who’s here?

Brazas Chicken

Take a trip down to South America for the best Peruvian chicken and ceviche this side of Orlando! Although Brazas is not new to the area, having another location on Orange Ave, Brazas has gotten the community excited to try something new! Visit Brazas and indulge in Peruvian x Latin cuisine like new Brazas chicken sandwich and do not forget the Huacatay sauce!

BBQ 50

See BBQ is not only special because of the amazing, home cooked meals they’re serving everyday but also due to the incredible journey the owners have been on to be showcased here at Marketplace. From a food truck consistently satisfying customers on East Colonial, to now a bright and shiny storefront, BBQ 50 knows what they’re doing in the pit!

Bowigens

Local brewers Bobby Bowen and Kevin Wigen did more than just combine their last names! They collaborated with visions of recognizing local entrepreneurs while serving amazing draft beer. WIthin enough time, the brewery came to be and now offers over 20 different types of beer and wine. In honor of the location opening, they are now serving their newest specialty brew Avalon Park Amber, and exclusive to Marketplace at Avalon Park

Cheese to Share

Charcuterie boards were definitely my favorite thing to practice and make beautiful during the pandemic but now I am so relieved that I get to share the love for them with my friends and family while out in Orlando at Cheese to Share! Offering tapas style fresh options of either large sized cheeseboard, skewer plates, toasts, even flatbreads and bread bowls!

KBBQ

Having won the Orlando Sentinels best food truck of the year 5 years in a row from 2011-2015, it’s no wonder why so many people were ecstatic about KBBQ setting up a stall here! Enjoy delicious Korean BBQ tacos, Korean fried chicken, fried cheese rolls and more.

Lemon Shark Poke

Owner Bruce Galicia has been in Orlando for 15 year learning the ins and outs of entrepreneurship through being a franchisee. Owning and operating Lemon Shark has allowed him to branch out and show this side of town what poke is all about. Build your own bowls with tons of different proteins and veggies!

NOLA

This place checks every single box when it comes to the integral ingredients and soul that Cajun cuisine needs in order to impress. Owner Kevin Brune has been in central florida for over 20 years and since moving from Louisiana, he’s been serving meals that make Orlandos’s NOLA natives homesick! Kevin was even a part of the creation of the Mardi Gras event at Universal studios! You already know this is the place to stop in for po’boys, crawfish and gumbo.

Pico de Gallo

Another South of the Border spot that offers nachos, tacos, burritos that was over 12 years in the making from Owner Heisell Alarcon and her sister, Heidi. Heisell migrated from Nicaragua with a dream of opening her own Mexican restaurant. Her dream not only came true, but has so many people in the community backing it up for how delicious the food is! My personal recommendation would be the pork tacos and guac which are made fresh everyday!

Rosso Specialty Coffee

There’s a saying that goes, “If she knows coffee, then she knows everything.” I said that, immediately after reading about Karen Blankenzee and her cultured journey to Orlando. After traveling for 3 decades, learning and truly soaking in dishes and drinks from other countries–Karen had the thought of owning her own roastery. With that thought came unwavering persistence and now Marketplace has Rosso within its walls to envelop the food hall with the most aromatic brews of coffee and teas. If you haven’t tried the lavender latte, you’re missing out!

Sip ‘n Roll

This spot actually shares an owner with Lemon Shark Poke! Bruce and his wife Diana decided after choosing to include Lemon Shark in the Marketplace opening, to take on the new challenge of becoming franchisees for Sip n Roll. Here you can find frozen ice cream treats as well as teas and slushies!
