GOAA board members this week approved Signature’s $26 million investment to modernize and expand the airport’s west side hangar facilities. The agreement includes a new 8,000-square-foot Fixed Base Operator terminal to replace the existing 1980s era facility, and the addition of two 40,000-square-foot aircraft hangars. Signature will also enter into a 30-year lease agreement for 1.3 million square feet of airport land to support the project and insure its long-term value. Construction is slated for completion by late 2028.

Longstanding partnership

“This investment meets a direct need for the corporate and general aviation communities,” said GOAA CEO Lance Lyttle. “It also boldly reflects Central Florida’s growth and ambition, opening doors for business, welcoming global travelers, and shaping an aviation system built to serve the region for generations to come.”

Signature Aviation is among GOAA’s longtime aviation partners, serving as MCO’s Fixed Base Operator since May 1996.

“This redevelopment expands opportunity, supports Central Florida’s growth, and delivers a modern, elevated experience for the travelers and companies that power the region’s economy,” said Signature Aviation CEO Tony Lefebvre.

The agreement will broaden the GOAA Capital Improvement Plan, approved in October to streamline airport operations and enhance the guest experience.
