Crooked Can Brewing Co. is closing in on the planned midsummer opening of its City Center Market in Lake County. Managing partner Alan Delahunt has posted weeks of construction updates to social media, and recently announced the additions of The Local Butcher & Kitchen, Pita Street Food and Norigami to the list of 11 food hall vendors
Stocking a new market
City Center Market will be a two-level, 42,950-square-foot dining and entertainment destination at Minneola’s Hills City Center. The venue will have the capacity to serve more guests than Crooked Can's Plant Street Market in Winter Garden, which will remain business-as-usual. City Center Market will also act as Crooked Can headquarters.

A full brewery and canning facility will service company production needs while supplying product for a 2,000-square-foot taproom. An outdoor stage, beer garden, and splash pad are among the features Delahunt has been showcasing in his posts.
Local flavor
The taproom's connecting food hall will maintain a small businesses focus that includes several Plant Street Market partnerships. A total of 11 vendors were chosen from more than 100 applicants. The first announcement came in February with the introduction of Three Birds Express: an abbreviated version of Winter Garden’s shuttered Three Birds Cafe. The quick-serve counter will offer a pastry bar, coffee and juice selections, and a menu of dishes from its former location.
Joining the party
In a late May posting, Delahunt said the remaining 10 food hall vendors would soon be revealed. The list was recently completed and the additions are as follows:
- Kai Kai BBQ & Dumplings - Mills Market’s Michelin-recognized authentic Cantonese eatery will open its second location at City Center with the same menu of BBQ, rice boxes, dumplings, and bao.
- Braza: The Brazilian steakhouse concept at Great Southern Box Company in Orlando’s Packing District serves picanha steak, cheeseburgers, and chimichurri topped chicken skewers.
- Daniel's Cheesesteak House: The family-owned, Winter Garden business has been serving steaks, chicken, burgers and wings for 33 years with a second location in Clermont.
- This Little Piggy: A Plant Street Market favorite since its 2018 opening, famous for its brisket, loaded fries, pulled pork, and dry-rubbed baby back ribs.
- AJ’s Pizza Joint: The concept opened at 42 W. Plant St. in January 2025 with three pizza styles and a build-your-own option, plus salads, meatballs, and garlic knots. The City Center version will offer the same menu, no word on new additions or seating accommodations.
Delahunt also announced a Taste of Plant Street concept that combines some smaller Plant Street Market vendors into a space at City Center food hall. Sir Benji’s Donuts and Empanada & Co. will be featured.
Norigami was announced on June 24. The sushi concept debuted at Plant Street Market in October 2022, serving fresh handrolls and seafood to guests at an eight-seat counter. The eatery has earned Michelin’s Bib Gourmand award each year since opening and the City Center location will offer an expanded menu and more seating.
Pita Street Food was announced on June 28. The brand launched in 2011, opening in Georgia with a quick-service menu of Mediterranean staples featuring falafels, salads, hummus, shawarma, and gyro sandwiches. The company currently operates 50 locations, including a Winter Garden restaurant in the Flamingo Crossings shopping center that opened 2023.
Another longtime Plant Street tenant, Local Butcher & Market, was announced on July 2 as the final City Center Market food hall addition. The concept opened in 2015 with a selection of steaks, premium meats, sides, and a menu of made-to-order specialty sandwiches. The same service will be featured at its new Local Butcher & Kitchen location in Minneola, along with Southern-style comfort food, an oyster bar, and seafood boils.
Hills City Center
City Center Market will be among the retail and community spaces serving the 96-acre Hills City Center. Residential developments include more than 1,000 multi-family units, dedicated senior living facilities, and over 13,000 single- and multi-family homes within a five-mile radius.. The neighboring 25-acre AdventHealth Minneola campus offers an 80-bed hospital, full-service ER, and specialty medical offices and clinics.
