Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2022

by Jessica Hristov

Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has returned to Magic Kingdom after a three year long hiatus!  This seasonal Magic Kingdom event has forever been a fan-favorite! The Christmas Party requires a separate ticket to enter and comes with tons of fun perks. Here is what you need to know about this year’s Very Merry Christmas Party.

About the Party

The 2022 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party runs on select nights at Magic Kingdom from November 8th- December 22nd. Guests do not need to purchase a park ticket for the day and will be able to enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4pm. Guests do, however, need to purchase a separate ticket for party admission. Depending on the date, ticket prices range from $149-$199 (pre-tax) for guests ages 10 and older, and $139-$189 (pre-tax) for guests ages 3-9. Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket on select nights. The party begins at 7pm and goes until 12am! Upon entry, you will be gifted a special, commemorative ornament!

Complimentary Treats

One of the best parts of the Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is the complimentary cookies and hot cocoa! This year, you can grab five different types of Christmas cookies! The cookies are all individually wrapped, so they are perfect to store if you can’t eat the whole thing! Here is where you can find the yummy, FREE, unlimited treats! **As always, allergy-friendly options are available at most locations upon request**

  • Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café (Tomorrowland) - Snickerdoodle Cookie and Hot Cocoa

  • The Lunching Pad (Tomorrowland) - Sugar Cookies and Apple Cider

  • Columbia Harbor House (Liberty Square) - Chocolate Chip Cookie and Hot Cocoa

  • Pinocchio Village Haus (Fantasyland) - Gingerbread Cookie with Icing and Hot Cocoa

  • Tortuga Tavern (Adventureland) - Sugar Cookie and Eggnog

The entertainment at the Very Merry Christmas Party is also amazing this year! One of the most popular things to do at the party is Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade. During the parade, you can see your favorite Disney characters – including Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, and more! You can also see dancing nutcrackers, reindeers, gingerbread men, and of course Santa Claus! The parade even has scented floats! The parade takes place twice a night at 8:30pm and 11pm and starts in Frontierland! Another fun thing to watch is Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks! The fireworks are hosted by Minnie Mouse and are set to a melody of everyone’s favorite Christmas songs! The fireworks only happen once per evening (10pm), so be sure to grab your favorite viewing spot early! **If you can’t get a Christmas Party ticket this year, don’t worry, once the party is over (after December 22nd), guests of Magic Kingdom will get to experience both the Christmastime parade and fireworks until December 29th! **

Ride Overlays

You will definitely want to check out the holiday overlays on some of your favorite attractions this year! In Tomorrowland, you can take a festive ride complete with holiday tunes around the Tomorrowland Speedway: Race Through the Holidays” ride! After that, head over to Space Mountain – Holiday Run to take a thrilling ride through space set to an amazing holiday light show and high energy holiday songs! If you are looking for a more relaxing holiday overlay, head over to the Monster’s Inc Laugh Floor Holiday Show and help the monsters fill their canisters with holiday cheer! When you make your way over to Fantasyland, hop on the Mad Tea Party ride and spin to some of your favorite holiday tunes! Finally, everyone’s favorite (and funniest!) holiday overlay, the Jingle Cruise -- get ready to go on a hilarious adventure filled with holiday puns!
