Orlando Putting Edge

Have you ever been mini golfing… in the dark?! Orlando Putting Edge offers a unique spin on traditional mini golf by creating courses that glow in the dark, and are lit with black lights. This is perfect for those Florida summer days when the rain just doesn’t seem to end. We visited this week and played a game of luminescent eighteen holes.

About the Space

Orlando Putting Edge is located at Dezerland Park, in the former Artegon Marketplace. Inside the mall, Putting Edge is directly next to the Cinemark theater. For $15.50 per person, each golfer gets to play eighteen holes, including a club and a glow in the dark golf ball. The courses are each completely unique, with holes ranging from under the sea theming to a castle filled with knights.

The walls, floors, and props around the holes are all colored in different glow in the dark colors, and it’s pretty dark! We found the darkness to make the mini golf slightly more challenging than regular mini golf. This makes it hard to see the slanting of the floor with the black carpeting. So if you are a mini golf fiend and looking for a challenge, this is definitely the stop for you!

Putting Edge did not have physical scorekeeping cards, but there was a QR code available for an app you can download. This tells you the average strokes per hole, and lets you keep track of your numbers. It was pretty spaced out on the weekday we went, so we didn’t feel any pressure to hurry through the holes, which was great. There are also so many places to take pictures throughout your experience!

Concessions & Games

There was a small counter next to the check in desk at the front of Putting Edge that offered slushies and sodas. If you’re looking for food, there are several restaurants within walking distance of Putting Edge inside of Dezerland Park. There were also several arcade games in the front of Putting Edge to play as well.

Overall

Whether you’re looking for a place to escape the rain this summer or just looking for a unique place to have fun, Orlando Putting Edge is the place for colorful competition. Putting Edge is also open till midnight on Fridays and Saturdays for late night tournaments.
