Are you looking for a place to get some fresh Hawaiian and Filipino cuisine? Well look no further because Orlando has just the place for you, and it’s called OverRice.
All About OverRice
OverRice is a restaurant on the Northside of Orlando, located on Lee Road, and serves Hawaiian and Filipino dishes.
OverRice has been serving the Central Florida community since 2011 and was initially a food truck that would make weekly stops in places like Leidos, Tasty Takeover and Lake Eola.
More recently, OverRice went from being on wheels to becoming a brick and mortar establishment just last month in March.
This restaurant is still operating under its soft opening hours, and you can chow down on Wednesdays through Fridays for lunch from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and for dinner from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. OverRice plans to be open Monday through Saturday beginning in May.
What’s on the Menu?
At OverRice, you have the choice of ordering your dish either Hawaiian or Filipino style.
Filipino Style Plate Lunch with Jasmine Rice, Pancit, Lumpia Shanghai and Papa’s Filipino Pork Adobo
When you order your plate Filipino style, you’ll be served jasmine rice, pancit, lumpia shanghai and your choice of protein, which includes kalua pig, huli huli chicken, papa’s Filipino pork adobo and chicken katsu.
Should you decide to order your plate Hawaiian style, you’ll get the same protein options, but this time, it’ll be served with jasmine rice and ona mac.
If you don’t want a full course meal, you can order from OverRice’s pupus section, which offers single menu options.
