Pride Month is here and Central Florida is going to be filled with activities and events to celebrate all month long! There are so many events to go to, activities to partake in, and rainbow foods to eat! Here’s a list of some of the pride events you might want to add to your calendar.
United We Dance – June 10
The second annual United We Dance event will take place on June 10th this year. This will be “to honor the resilience of our community, First Responders, The City Beautiful, Survivors and our 49”. DJ Scott Robert will be leading participants through a night of music, costumes, love, and fun! The event takes place in Thornton Park, right next to Lake Eola. When booking in advance, tickets cost $24 per person with tax. After this however, it will be $30 per person the day of. A portion of the proceeds will go to the onePULSE Foundation.
49 Bells – June 12
I had never heard of 49 bells before, but it is something that is so special in this community. A chorus of bells are rung throughout Orlando by churches, mosques, synagogues, businesses, theaters, and more to honor the lives of the 49. This year, the ceremony will begin at First United Methodist Church of Orlando and the bells will be rung at 11:45 a.m. If attendees would like to join the worship service at 11 a.m. beforehand, the Orlando Gay Chorus will be performing. In addition to this, 49 Bells will continue to ring throughout the city on June 12th at different locations.
Keep Healing Orlando – June 18
For anyone who enjoys holistic health and wellness, Impulse Orlando and QLatinx will be holding an event at Ace Café on June 18th – Keep Healing Orlando. Attendees can participate in guided meditations, and partake in workshops or hear from holistic wellness speakers. Even if you’ve never explored these wellness areas before, everyone is welcome! Overall, this event is free and will be four hours – 5:00-9:00 a.m.
Pride Bar Crawl – June 18
Who doesn’t love a good bar crawl to explore the city and drink with friends? Crawl with US will be hosting a Pride Bar Crawl in Downtown Orlando beginning at Underground Public House. The Bar Crawl includes stops at Dapper Duck Bar, Downtown Pour House, and Parlay. In addition to this, there will also be stops at The Attic Orlando, The Basement Orlando, and The Office Orlando Bar. The bars will have special drinks to try throughout the crawl, with a portion of the proceeds being donated to the Trevor Project. Tickets can be purchased on the Facebook event page – “Pride Bar Crawl – Orlando”.

With these events and more, June is going to be a month packed full of PRIDE! We hope this list can help you find the right event for you.
