Spooktacular Overview

The SeaWorld Spooktacular is a family-friendly Halloween celebration that is perfect for all ages. It is especially nice and convenient if you have younger kids. The festivities are condensed into one area instead of having to run to multiple locations throughout the park. Another great thing about this celebration is that the party is celebrated all day rather than only at night. Guests of all ages are encouraged to wear their favorite costume, meet some characters, do some trick-or-treating, and most of all – have fun! SeaWorld’s Spooktacular runs on select days from September 17 to October 31, and is also included with park admission. The party runs from 11:00 am to one hour prior to park close.

Entertainment

There are plenty of entertainment options to keep your little ones happy at Spooktacular! You can walk through the Pumpkin Garden and visit some of the friendly, little pumpkin fish! Throughout the day, the Pumpkin Prince or Princess appears in the Pumpkin Garden to read children a story. It is extra fun for the little ones in your party because they are often asked to participate and act out parts of the story. There is also a live DJ in front of Journey to Atlantis that plays popular music while pirates dance with guests. If you prefer a more hands-on activity, head over to the area between Sesame Street Land and Wild Arctic for some fun Halloween crafts, including cookie decorating! This spooktacular activity runs from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Character Meet-and-Greets

If you are interested in meeting some fun characters, you’re in luck! At the beginning of the trick-or-treat trail, you can meet a beautiful mermaid and have your picture taken with her! Throughout the rest of the trail, you can meet other Halloween-themed characters such as a pirate, a pumpkin guard, and even some candy witches! The characters are very friendly and interactive so be sure to bring your camera! If you have any Sesame Street fans in your party, be sure to head over to Sesame Street Land where you can meet characters from the show including Big Bird and the Count.

Trick-or-Treating

And now for everyone’s favorite part of Halloween – trick-or-treating! SeaWorld has their own Trick-or-Treat Trail set up for a fun and stress-free experience! To participate, you must purchase a reusable bag from the park for $3.99. The bags have very cute designs on them that include dolphins, sharks, and seals in Halloween costumes. The trick-or-treat stations are set up along a pathway, so it is easy to visit them all in order. Each station is labeled with which candy is given out, so you know exactly what you’ll be getting! Guests of any age are encouraged to participate in trick-or-treating, and you may go through the trail as many times as you like!
