Specialty Easter Treats at WDW

By Holley Long

With Easter Sunday coming up soon, Walt Disney World Resort is celebrating with decor, merchandise, and, of course, exclusive desserts. You can find these treats, which are just a sample of the special offerings, at many of the different Disney resorts.

Read on to find something to indulge your sweet tooth!

Disney’s Beach Club Resort & Yacht Club Resort

Carrot Garden Fudge

Our first treats can be found at two Disney resorts: the Beach Club Marketplace at Beach Club Resort and the Market at Ale & Compass at Yacht Club Resort. That’s where you can snag this chocolate fudge decorated with a vanilla carrot cookie. Yum!

Orange Vanilla Bunny Tart

This tart, decorated with the fluffy tail, ears, and paws of a bunny, is made of orange vanilla mousse, a chocolate-filled vanilla crust, and orange marmalade. Speaking from experience, this one is a winner.

Easter Chocolate Donald & Daisy Eggs

Every “bunny” wants to wake up Easter morning to a chocolate egg, and these Donald and Daisy-inspired eggs are sure to delight little ones. They’ll definitely be a popular purchase, so it might be best to mobile order them ahead of time.

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge

Carrot Cake Cheesecake Tart

Carrots are a rabbit’s favorite food, so it’s only fitting that this tart, decorated to look like a bunny’s face, consists of carrot cake. Other flavors to note include pineapple and vanilla cheesecake, so you can count on this treat being refreshing.

Disney’s BoardWalk

Coconut Macaroon Nest

This adorable little treat resembles a coconut pastry bird’s nest with chocolate eggs nestled in the center. It would be too cute to eat if it wasn’t so delicious. Grab yours at the BoardWalk Deli or Carousel Coffee!

Italian Easter Sweet Bread

Also found at the BoardWalk Deli and Carousel Coffee, this treat of citrus-scented dough and almond cream holds an egg filled with chocolate, and star sprinkles cover the outer rim, so there’s something sweet no matter where you sink your teeth.

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa

Cream Cheese Carrot Coffee Cake

The Grand Cottage is back at the Grand Floridian for the Easter season, and that’s where you can find numerous treats, including this carrot coffee cake. Filled with cream cheese and topped with orange sugar, this cake is a decadent dessert you’ll want to savor.

Vanilla Bean Cupcake Sampler

A shareable snack option, this treat includes four cupcakes featuring Easter decor, like bunny feet, eggs, and flowers. While you can grab it at the Grand Cottage, you can also order it, and the carrot coffee cake, at Gasparilla’s Island Grill.

Disney’s Contemporary Resort

Spring Bunny Tart

You can find all the Contemporary Resort Easter treats at Contempo Café, but my favorite was this tart. It’s made of honey pastry cream topped with lemon curd and strawberry cream, and the two chocolate bunny ears are an added bonus to an already amazing sweet.

Spring Coconut Macaroons

This three-pack includes a classic coconut macaroon, a dulce de leche macaroon, and a chocolate macaroon which, if you look closely, resembles the tail of a bunny.

Five-legged Goat Cookie

If you need a gluten or wheat friendly option for dessert, this cookie may be just what you’re looking for. The citrus-scented sugar cookie is gluten-free and features an edible image of a five-legged goat, which is a tribute to the Native American spirit. With icing and sprinkles on the edges, this treat curbs sweet cravings without breaking dietary restrictions.

Overall

Aside from sweets, Disney’s Easter offerings include bunny-centric plush toys and Mickey ears, as well as beautifully decorated Easter egg displays at the Contemporary, Grand Floridian, Yacht Club, and Beach Club Resorts. Make sure to check them out—and try these treats—before Easter Sunday on April 9!
