If you’ve been following the latest Universal news lately, you know that Super Nintendo World is opening at Universal Studios Hollywood this month - February 2023. You may be wondering when Universal Orlando will be unveiling their own Super Nintendo World. The short answer is they will be, but it will debut at Universal’s new park Epic Universe, and it won’t be until 2025! Here is everything we know about Super Nintendo World.

Details
Although Universal has not laid out specific details for Super Nintendo World, we do know that it will be very similar to the one in Japan. We also have seen plans that provide a little bit of an overview as to what we can expect to see. There will be an area for retail locations and interactive areas, and a semi-large, themed restaurant. There will also be a Yoshi ride, a Donkey Kong mini land (which will include a coaster), and a Mario Kart dark ride. There will also be Super Nintendo themed food at the 344-seat restaurant! You’ll be able to find foods like Super Mushroom Soup, Luigi Pesto Chicken Burger, Mario Bacon Cheeseburger, and more! Save room for dessert because they have the “?” block Tiramisu and Princess Peach Cupcakes! There will also be various snack booths set up around the land.

Similarities & Differences from Japan
Upon looking at the plans, we also discovered that the Super Nintendo World in Epic Universe will be over 40,000 square feet larger than the land in Japan. There will also be a castle! That’s right - Princess Peach’s castle will be a main feature at Super Nintendo World in Epic Universe. One of the biggest differences between the Super Nintendo World here in Orlando vs Japan will be that instead of entering through Princess Peach’s castle, guests will enter through a portal! The only way I’ve heard it described was to picture it as if Mario is entering one of those green tunnels where he is magically transported elsewhere. There are some rumors still circulating that Epic Universe’s Super Nintendo World will feature small details and surprises that wouldn’t be found at any other park! There are also rumors that there will be many fan-favorite characters for meet and greets.
Overall
Super Nintendo World at Epic Universe is highly anticipated, and it is clear to see why. This land sounds incredible and immersive. Many of us grew up playing Super Nintendo, and other fun Nintendo consoles, and now we get the chance to live it! We can't wait until 2025 when Super Nintendo World opens at Epic Universe here in Orlando!
