We took a trip to Talkin’ Tacos, and believe it or not, the food had a lot to say. If you’re on the prowl for fantastic Mexican finds, then look no further at this restaurant in SoDo.
Talkin’ About Talkin’ Tacos
Dubbing themselves as the “best tacos in America,” Talkin’ Tacos is a taco chain located on South Orange Avenue in SoDo Orlando, and it opened its doors just last month.
This chain has many locations across Florida, as well as one in Atlanta, Georgia. You can find good eats in Florida cities like Miami, with more restaurants in Brickell and Wynwood, Miramar, Wellington, Coral Springs, Doral, and Jacksonville.
Talkin’ Tacos mainly serves the food in its name: tacos. Outside of its tacos, this restaurant offers hearty entrées, savory sides and salsas, fruity drinks, and sugary desserts.
Try it all for yourself every day from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
What’s on the Menu?
When you’re dining at Talkin’ Tacos, you won’t know what to do with yourself! There are so many delicious dining options to choose from, you’ll want to get them all.
This restaurant’s most popular items are birria tacos, churros, and the birria grilled cheese.
Birria Grilled Cheese
Taco options outside of birria include carne asada, Caribbean tacos, chicken achiote, mahi mahi, bang bang shrimp, and southwest chicken tacos.
If you’re not into tacos, that’s not a problem for this taco joint! You can get burritos, rice bowls, quesa birria, and loaded nachos as entrées as well.
Birria Ramen
You can order your typical side of fries or chips, or you can opt for sweet plantains, Mexican rice, sweet corn in a cup and more.
For those picky eaters out there, Talkin’ Tacos also serves quesadillas and chicken tenders with fries.
Dessert can include churros — with or without cookies ‘n cream — tres leches cake, and dulce de leche cheesecake.
You can sip on Coke products — including Mexican Coke — Jarritos, and house juices. We tried the strawberry dragonfruit house juice, and it sent our taste buds on a one-way trip to Flavortown.
The Atmosphere
Surrounded by low lighting and neon wall art, Talkin’ Tacos is nothing short of a lively dining environment.
From the walls to the ceilings, down to the tables you’re feasting from, find vibrant Mexican artwork reminiscent of Dia de los Muertos.
Talkin’ Tacos is a little slice of the street side of Mexico and brings a beautiful culture to the city of Orlando.
Overall
It’s impossible to get tired of tacos, especially when Orlando continues to turn up new joints that offer unique flavors you won’t find just anywhere. Talkin’ Tacos offers trendy Mexican cuisine fused with modern flavors to bring about a taste that’s nothing short of perfect. If you’re on the prowl for fresh Latin eats and love the SoDo area, you’ll definitely want to make a pit stop at this place!
