There’s a restaurant hidden in Hunter’s Creek near Kissimmee with delicious latin style cuisine, sushi, and craft cocktails. And I mean really hidden! From the outside, you’d never know that there is a renovated and beautiful restaurant hidden inside at Tavern at the Creek.
Food and Atmosphere
When we arrived, we quickly realized that there is a side entrance to get in. Don’t be fooled if the front doors are locked! Once inside, the atmosphere of the restaurant surprised us. Tavern at the Creek is tucked away into a little shopping plaza with just one sign out front. However, once you enter you’ll see that the bar looks recently renovated, and the ambience is very relaxed.
The food ranges from all kinds of delicious options. On the menu you’ll see American classics like loaded fries and fish dip, to latin dishes like tostones and Cuban sandwiches. They also serve sushi, which I heard is very popular at this location! There truly are so many different options for everyone in your group. Lunch specials and happy hour are also served here, which offer some incredible deals for affordable dining in Central Florida. Our group got the lunch specials – B.Y.O.S (Build Your Own Salad) and the BreakTime Platter, half sandwich with a choice of side. Everything was delicious, and the bartenders and servers were very kind and took great care of us.
Drinks
Tavern at the Creek serves a wide variety of craft cocktails, and their drink menu is incredibly diverse. The ones at the top of my list to try are the Summer Nights with coconut rum, guava puree, lime, and coconut water, and the Bubbly Pear, pear infused vodka, elderflower, lime, and prosecco. If you’re not into cocktails, they also serve a number of wines and beers. They also have craft mocktails as well for anyone not drinking in your party. Happy Hour is served everyday from 4pm-8pm with incredible drink specials like $7 mojitos!
Overall
Tavern at the Creek is a great local spot for a huge range of food and drinks, and they have something to offer everybody! From the outside you would never guess that Tavern at the Creek is hidden away in this shopping plaza, awaiting hungry diners and guests looking for a fun night out. With happy hour, lunch specials, and brunch on Sundays, Tavern at the Creek also offers affordable options for the whole family.

Hunter’s Creek is located in Kissimmee, and is a great city in Central Florida for families, park-goers, older couples, and anyone who loves shopping and good food. There are many incredible locally owned restaurants in this area, as well as The Loop. This shopping center has an astounding number of stores, including outlets, restaurants, and even a movie theater!
