Orlando is back at it again with its endless selection of eateries, and this one is all about serving up goodies that are wholly halal. It’s called The Dough Show — let’s check it out!
What is The Dough Show?
The Dough Show is a Mediterranean restaurant located on Collegiate Way in East Orlando, right across the street from UCF.
This place serves shawarma pies, bowls, wraps, and other Egyptian dishes that are all 100% halal. Everything is fairly affordable, so you can walk away with lunch or dinner for around $10-20 for some delicious food made with quality ingredients.
The Dough Show is open 6 days a week, with varying hours:

Sundays from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Tuesdays to Thursdays from 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM

Fridays from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM and 4:00 PM to Midnight

Saturdays from 11:00 AM to Midnight
Dining at The Dough Show
As the name suggests, all of the dough is handmade, tossed, and fired on location. You can watch as the chefs roll and toss the dough for their Egyptian pies, creating a thin dough that will give you a perfectly flaky crust for their oriental pies.
These start at $12.99 for a regular pie, with the large starting at $25.99. There are loads of flavors to choose from such as Roman cheese, homemade pastrami, sausage kiri, minced meat, beef shawarma, seafood and more.

If you’d prefer your pie on the sweet side, you can order it in flavors like lotus hazelnut custard, raisin coconut custard, nutella, banana, apple and more.
If you want something a little less handheld, you can build your own bowl for $14.99. This includes a base of yellow rice, white rice, or romaine lettuce, and you can choose from all sorts of proteins like beef, chicken, or falafel. This includes up to two toppings and sauces, and with choices such as hummus, sumac onions, purple cabbage, garlic, tzatziki and more.
There are also platters and wraps that you can fill with a protein of your choice, and traditional Mediterranean salads as well!
The Dining Experience
Dining at The Dough Show exudes nothing short of authenticity. There’s just a sort of charm that traditional eateries like The Dough Show bring that popular chains can’t replicate, which makes the dining experience much more memorable.
Once you order, they prepare your food right in front of you, making your mouth water as you step up to pay for your meal.
The restaurant’s interior takes modern styles and couples it with classic Mediterranean menu items, giving the space that fresh feel with a hint of tradition. Keep in mind that The Dough Show is a smaller restaurant, but there are tables lined along the walls for those who want to eat in.
