The Mongolorian Now Open in Mills 50

By Yasmene Warren

Orlando is Central Florida’s very own melting pot, and it continues to prove to be so every day by bringing us new, unique spots to eat. Located not too far from Little Vietnam in Mills 50 is the new Mongolian BBQ spot The Mongolorian. Let’s check it out!

What is The Mongolorian?

The Mongolorian is a brand new Mongolian BBQ spot located in Mills 50 on East Colonial Drive in Orlando.

This restaurant serves wok and stir-fried Mongolian dishes, and you can customize bowls to craft the perfect meal for your taste buds!

The Mongolorian had its soft opening on May 26, and as of right now, you can dine at the establishment every day from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Mongolorian’s Menu

The main menu item you’ll find at The Mongolorian lies under the “custom bites” section.

Custom Bites

Starting at $15, you can create a rice or noodle bowl, and you have a variety of noodles to choose from such as egg noodles, flat rice noodles, linguine noodles, ramen noodles and udon noodles. As for rice, you have the choice of white or brown rice as your base.

You can choose up to two proteins in your bowl, and the options include chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, fried krab, crispy tofu and vegan chicken.

For veggies, you get to have up to four in your bowl, and some of the choices include baby bok choy, bean sprouts, broccoli, jalapeños, mushrooms and more!

To really top things off, pick up to four toppings! Your options include fried onions, green onions, sesame seeds, shredded nori and fried egg.

Lastly, you can select a sauce to go on top of your bowl. Whether you want something sweet, spicy or simply savory, there’s lots of sauces to go around. Some include basil curry, garlic soy, Mongolorian, sweet and salty and more.

If you feel like some of the inclusions you chose in your bowl just aren’t enough, you can add on extra for just a few dollars more!

Small Bites

If you’re not looking for anything big, there are also smaller bites to enjoy.

Some of the small bites you can order include beef or shrimp skewers, Mongol wings, fried calamari, crispy potstickers, shrimp in a blanket and so much more.

There is also a meal for the little ones to enjoy. For $7, you can get a kids bowl served with white rice, ginger sauce, chicken, beef, or pork, and a fountain drink of your choice.

Signature Bites

If making your own bowl isn’t your thing, you can also order one of The Mongolorian’s signature bites! These signature bowls are the farmhouse, nomads land, Khan Dynasty, land & sea, Genghis bowl, and Mongol Empire.

For that sweet tooth, you can order fried churros with vanilla ice cream or fried cheesecake!

Whatever it is you decide to order, you won’t be leaving The Mongolorian dissatisfied!

The Restaurant

Even though The Mongolorian isn’t the biggest restaurant, it has a lot to offer. Its quick, self-serve ordering screens save you the trouble of trying to memorize your order and repeat it to the cashier.

Because the restaurant is in the middle of soft opening, it’s still working on making sure all of the ordering screens are fully functioning, so only one is in operation at the moment. With one ordering screen, and food as good as this place’s, the line was nearly out the door!

The Mongolorian makes the perfect addition to the ever-growing culturally diverse community that is Mills 50 and is definitely worth a visit!

When you’re in the mood for some great Asian bites but have had your fill of everything Chinese, Japanese, Korean, or Vietnamese, The Mongolorian will be here waiting for you, serving only the best Mongolian bites you can get in Orlando!
