There are plenty of perks that come with living in a big city — Orlando included. Most people look for proximity to schools, work, downtown areas, or even the airport when it comes to finding their new home. Luckily, living in Orlando checks all of those boxes and more. Here’s a list of Orlando’s top amenities.
Read along or watch the video below for more!
1. Firework Views
When you think of living in Orlando, it's almost hard not to imagine living by the theme parks and getting a nightly view of fireworks. Although not everyone may get this perk in the City Beautiful, there are quite a few neighborhoods where you can enjoy fireworks on a nightly basis (and don't forget to pull up the theme park music to go along with the show)!
Royal Legacy Estates, a neighborhood right next to Disney’s Magic Kingdom, is one that not only comes complete with amazing neighborhood amenities, but also great views of the fireworks from your very own backyard.
On Seidel Road in Horizon West, you can get a picture-perfect view of the fireworks when you stay on either side. Specifically, in the Latham Park neighborhood, which offers ample homes with a clear, unobstructed view of all the fireworks.
Encore at Ovation is another neighborhood in Horizon West near Flamingo Crossing, and it offers a stunning view of the EPCOT ball and the rest of Disney property. Disney World is notorious for its fireworks shows, so a view like this from the comfort of your own home is truly one of a kind.
Legado near Windermere Isle and Peachtree Park is another one, and is primarily a townhome community brimming with homes that offer excellent views of Orlando fireworks without too much noise!
2. Rocket Launches
One of the best parts about living in Central Florida is being in such close proximity to Florida’s Space Coast, giving us constant views of rocket launches. You can see rocket launches from areas like the top of the Amway Center, EPCOT, Universal, UCF, and even from some people’s backyards!
3. Golf Communities
Central Florida is known from some of its world-class golf courses, and if golfing is one thing you can’t go without, then you've found the right place to call home!
*Not all golf courses have been highlighted (there are many more!)
Some of these communities include Keene’s Pointe just outside of Dr. Phillips, Isleworth in Windermere (known for having been home to celebrities like Shaq and Tiger Woods), and the Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Lake Nona.
If you're looking for one of the best golf communities in Orlando, Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Bay Hill includes a couple of professional courses and the Arnold Palmer Golf Academy. This is also where golf professionals gather from around the world in March of every year to compete in one of the most popular golf tournaments on the PGA Tour - the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
4. Lakefront Properties
Nothing beats the gorgeous views of a stunning Florida lake first thing in the morning. Luckily, there are an ample amount of communities throughout Orlando that bring those kinds of views right to your back door. From beautiful lake views to backyard boating, you can enjoy it all from a variety of neighborhoods around Central Florida, located everywhere from Lake Butler to Lake Toho.
