2021 Tree Lighting Ceremony Downtown Orlando

Where & When

The Orlando community is coming together again this year to celebrate the annual Lighting of Lake Eola’s Washington Plaza Christmas tree. This event is free to everyone and will take place on Friday, December 3rd from 5-8PM.

The Tree

Standing at 64 feet tall the grandiose holiday tree requires about 2,000 ornaments and thousands of lights to be fully decorated. After the initial ceremony this weekend, the Christmas tree show will play from 6PM to 9:45 PM every night through January 6th. The magical show is jam packed with classic Christmas tunes and lights that will dance in sync with the music, creating a stunning experience for you and your family.

Holiday Market

Before the official lighting this Friday, there will be a holiday market where local artists and vendors offer tons of seasonal goods! Tons of merry and bright performances in the Walt Disney Amphitheater are planned, so grab your coats and hot chocolates and gather for the live Christmas entertainment! A few local food trucks are expected to participate as well, making it the perfect time to try some new spots that you haven’t made it to this year! And of course, Santa himself will be in Orlando to say hello and take photos with everyone at the Eola House from 5-9PM.
