Golden Oak is a private, gated community designed and constructed by the Walt Disney Company and located on the resort itself. It is known for its large, luxury estates, which make up the entire community. Found off of Vista Boulevard, this neighborhood is about a 10-minute drive from Magic Kingdom, and fireworks can be viewed from anywhere in Golden Oak.

The private community of Golden Oak was designed by Imagineering—the development faction of the Walt Disney Company. The community opened in 2011, after having been announced the year prior, and there are currently just under 300 homes. Golden Oak is also home to the Four Seasons Resort Orlando and its accompanying golf and country club.

Golden Oak is part of the city of Lake Buena Vista, about 19 miles southwest of Downtown Orlando. The community of Hunters Creek is located to the southeast, while Celebration and Four Corners are located to the south and southwest respectively.

All homes for sale in Golden Oak are classified as luxury homes, with price points that now begin at around two million dollars (but can reach the multiple millions). There are a number of home styles in the community, ranging from Tuscan to Dutch Colonial, found in the eight, beautifully-landscaped Golden Oak neighborhoods.

Carolwood is the community’s northernmost neighborhood, and features gorgeous homes for sale that overlook the Four Seasons’ golf course, and back onto either a lush forest or the water. These are also the largest homes in the community, starting at 6,500 square feet and going all the way up to 12,000 square feet.

Tuscan-style homes are found in the neighborhood of Kimball Trace, which is located around the community’s clubhouse. The neighborhood of Silverbrook, which has some spectacular water features, is found right next door. Symphony Grove and The Cottages at Symphony Grove are where you’ll find both contemporary homes and cottages (both of which are custom). The latter neighborhood also features the smallest homes and real estate by acreage and by square footage.

The other Golden Oak neighborhoods are the following: Kingswell, Marceline, and the Four Seasons Private Residences. As for home features, these vary from home to home, but generally includes luxurious upgrades, modern kitchens, outdoor living spaces, and a pool. The cottages, however, have generally taken a more rustic approach to interior design, with exposed wooden beams as a popular choice. As mentioned, some homes back onto the water, for those searching for their dream lakefront property. Many residents have also chosen to incorporate Disney theming into their decor.

Golden Oak Highlights & Amenities

The Golden Oak community is located right on the Disney resort. For Disney-lovers, this is a dream come true! Residents can experience the magic at their convenience, with nightly fireworks.

Golden Oak also features a clubhouse called Summerhouse, which can only be accessed by Golden Oak residents. Amenities include a top-of-the-line gym, meeting and event rooms, two restaurants, and a 21+ lounge. The community also hosts year-round events for residents and their guests—sometimes on the resort premises. 

The Four Seasons Resort Orlando and the Four Seasons Golf and Sports Club Orlando are also found on the premises. Golden Oak residents are able to access some of the facilities. The Four Seasons Resort Orlando is home to several dining options (including a Michelin-starred restaurant), a water park, a fitness center, a spa, and more.
