We talk a lot about moving to Orlando, but what about after you’re already here? You’ve got the home, but what should you do with it? Decorate it, of course!
There are plenty of home decor stores around town, but if you’re looking for something that’ll really make your place stand out, we have a few shops in mind. Check out these three local home decor shops in Orlando that are sure to add a unique touch to your home.
Gold Dust Home
If you want to decorate your home with one-of-a-kind designs at the forefront of your mind, then you’ll want to check out Gold Dust Home.
Gold Dust Home is a home decor, gifting, and entertaining shop located on Lang Avenue in Orlando nestled comfortably inside the Mills 50 district.
Here, you can find just about any and everything you could need to decorate your home — and we’re certain you won’t find anything like it elsewhere in Orlando.
From unique, handmade jewelry and colorful glassware to food-themed trinkets and unique children’s books, there’s truly something for everyone at this shop.
Dress your bed and couches in quirky beaded pillows, wash your hands with avocado shaped soap, and flick on the baguette wall fixture for an anything-but-ordinary living experience.
Gold Dust Home also hosts monthly events and block parties, which you can find more about by staying tuned to its Instagram page @gold_dust_home.
Apiary
If you’re looking for home decor more on the modern side but still chic and unique, then you’ll definitely need to take a look at Apiary.
Located in Baldwin Park in Orlando on Meeting Place is where you’ll find Apiary, a new home decor store specializing in antique but chic furnishings.
Find everything you need for your home from silverware and homemade dish soap to candles and rolling pins - with some available to be personalized. There are also bigger pieces such as couches, area rugs, tables, shelves, and accent cabinets.
More than just a home decor shop, Apiary hosts a variety of events throughout the year, including crafty workshops and a monthly book club. Keep up with all the details on its website.
Adjectives Market
Want more variety but still itching for that touch of individuality in your home decor? Adjectives Market might be the perfect place for you.
Adjectives is known as Orlando’s destination for home inspiration, and there are quite a few locations littered throughout the city. We visited the one on East Colonial Drive in the Milk District, and it had a lot to offer.
This store has just about everything you could think to put in a home from loveseats and sectionals to queen-size bed spreads.
Find funky pillows, stunning artwork, quirky table toppers, swanky light fixtures, and all the animal skin rugs you could ever imagine.
Adjectives also sells paint, guitars, records, animal skeletons, and vintage Disney World pins — just about everything you didn’t know you needed!
