5 scary good Halloween bars around Orlando

By Jim Carchidi

Spooky season is nearly here and Orlando’s hospitality community is prepping for the parties. While theme parks are famous for state-of-the-art Halloween designs, small business owners will offer some stiff competition as bars and breweries conjure their own special menus and haunting decor.

The Orlando Real compiled the following list of venues offering tricks, treats, and spirits for every taste.

The craft cocktail bar formerly located in downtown Orlando began its Nightmare on Orange pop-up in 2018. Special drink recipes and haunted house decor made a hit with the locals that still resonates at its Winter Park address. Dead space can quickly vanish, so reservations are encouraged. The pop-up runs Sept. 23 - Nov. 2 and bookings are available at the Nightmare on Orange web page.

Every season is spooky at Orlando’s only Halloween-inspired cocktail lounge. Themed nights and live music are backdropped by an elaborate decor that boasts more than 480 skulls. The scary sights are complimented by a killer drink menu and cosplayers are always welcome, but Halloween has been special since its 2019 opening. This year’s festivities feature a 90s Vampire Ball on Oct. 30 starting at 9 p.m. Tickets are available here and check their Instagram posts for event updates.
