If you’re staying in Central Florida this summer, let the island life come to you at Aloha Beautiful, located in Downtown Orlando. Tropical cocktails, a karaoke stage, and an island paradise setting await apart from the hustle and bustle of the city.
Where is it?
Aloha Beautiful is on the second floor of a furniture store from the 1800s. This location was completely refurbished in 2021 to create the island hideaway theme. It sits on East Pine Street, and a doorman will check your ID before you head up the stairs to Aloha Beautiful.
Immediately upon entering, the building smelled like pineapples and coconuts. To be fair, we went early in the day before the place was filled with eager singers and guests ready to have a good time. Still, the tropical smell was a huge bonus to me. It totally added to the theme and takes you away from the city of Orlando, into a mindset of having a cocktail on the beach. There is also an air hockey table and dart boards available to play if you aren’t ready to warm up your vocal cords and hit the stage.
The Drinks
Aloha Beautiful serves cocktails, beer, seltzers, and shooters. From the three drinks that we tried, they were all delicious and perfectly beachy. My favorite was the Kiwi Mojito. This was made like a classic mojito with rum, mint, and lime, but with kiwi as a succulent bonus. We also tried the shooters made with rum, which were huge for the price and so delicious! The bartender was super friendly and chatted with us about her experience working in a karaoke bar, and the many performances she’s treated to nightly.
Weekly Events
Throughout the week, there are a variety of events available to join and/or participate in. This includes a limbo contest, latin night, and mimosa Sunday! Check out their website to see what time karaoke is available. Once there, you can also find the full list of events for the week!
Overall
Good times and island vibes are in store for those who seek them at Aloha Beautiful. Grab a Tiki Cocktail, a seat at the bar (or the swinging seats by the karaoke stage!), and get ready for a fun night in a tropical getaway. ‘Tis the sea-sun to visit this summer and escape the Florida sun in exchange for a mai tai and AC.
Downtown Orlando
Downtown Orlando is the place to be for the young, and young at heart. With events, shows, and farmers markets happening often, there is always something to do in the city. Neighborhoods like Thornton Park and Eola Heights are located on brick lined roads and filled with homes ranging from the 1920’s to newly constructed houses. Sporting events and concerts happen around the corner at the Amway Center and Camping World Stadium, and restaurants and bars abound along the streets of downtown.
