Ann Teague's Lamp Supply
by Marissa Potts

Bright lights shine from the shades of hundreds of antique lamps at Ann Teague’s Lamp Supply. Here you can enjoy craft cocktails in downtown surrounded by hundreds of dazzling lights!

Where is it?

Ann Teague’s is located on South Magnolia Avenue right in the heart of Downtown Orlando. It’s within walking distance from some of my favorite bars like Mather’s Social Gathering and Hanson’s Shoe Repair! Definitely a great spot to bar hop!

The Atmosphere

You’ll be able to tell you’re in the right spot right away because of the decor of Ann Teague. From the windows, you can see the lights shining all around! When you walk in, you’ll be transported to an antique treasure trove that truly sparkles everywhere you look! The atmosphere was similar to many bars Downtown, with couches all around as well as the bar top to sit at.

A really unique part of Ann Teague’s is that some of the items around the store are actually available to purchase. I didn’t know this when we visited so I didn’t check it out myself, but I’ve heard from friends that the items for sale have price tags on them! We went on a weekday so it was easy to find a spot as we were some of the only ones there, but I definitely suggest getting there early if you visit on a weekend!

The Drinks

Ann Teague’s is run by manager and bartender Daniel Messina who has over ten years of craft cocktail experience. Because of his passion for the cocktail and the creativity he brings to the menu, it seems that the menu rotates their cocktail selection often. An example of this is that I just visited two days before writing this article, and I already can’t find the name of the cocktail I ordered on the menu!

Whatever it was, it was so refreshing and delicious with vodka and watermelon inside. The bartender used so many fresh ingredients which really made a difference in the taste, it literally tasted like actual watermelon! They also had classic cocktails on their menu like Bees Knees, which has gin, honey, and lemon in it, one of my favorites! Of course, they also offer beer and shots, so be sure to check their menu when you visit to see what they have available.

Overall

Ann Teague’s is a dream come true for anyone like me who loves antiques and the passion that goes into cocktail making! Plus, there are plenty of gorgeous places to take pictures all around the bar! If you’ve never visited before, better light than never!

Downtown Orlando

There are so many incredible spots to visit Downtown including restaurants, shops, and beautiful Lake Eola for the Farmer’s Market. Downtown is definitely for people and families who love being active or staying in the fun, whether that means yoga outdoors or barhopping to different bars and restaurants. Downtown’s location is also a huge perk of living here, with its close proximity to the theme parks, UCF, and areas like Winter Park and Mills 50. From condos to homes from the early 1900s on brick roads, there are homes to suit everyone here. Interested in homes near Downtown?
