The west coast has come to Orlando in the form of Lazy Dog! This laid back restaurant is a unique addition to Irlo Bronson Highway, an area that is continuing to see major revitalization. Follow along for more info about this new eatery - it just might become your new favorite dinner spot.
Lazy Dog’s Story
Inspired by small town vibes in the Rocky Mountains, Lazy Dog first opened its doors in California, but since then over 50 locations have opened across the country (with 25+ in CA alone!). According to the restaurant chain’s website, Lazy Dog was created to call to mind “unplanned adventures, an enduring love of food and fireside conversations.”
Opening of the new Lazy Dog Kissimmee location
The Kissimmee location, which is near Walt Disney World and Margaritaville Resort Orlando, has a rustic atmosphere, with exposed brick and wood rafters. It’s reminiscent of a ski lodge, and if you focus on the decor, you might actually forget that outside the restaurant’s doors is heat that feels like the surface of the sun.
As the name suggests, they are also dog-friendly and even offer special meals for your little pupper! Keep in mind that dogs must remain on the patio, with the exception of service dogs indoors.

The Food
Lazy Dog prides itself on sourcing quality ingredients, and each meal is made by hand daily, including the sauces, marinades, and dressings. The menu includes dishes from multiple cuisines, such as quesadillas, kung pao bowls, burgers, and pastas.
Items on Lazy Dog's Spring Menu - Mediterranean Trio, Slow-Cooked Pork Carnitas, Chicken Katsu Sando, and more!
Something really fun on the menu are TV Dinners. Similar to what you’d buy at the store (but better) - these are frozen meals that are packaged in retro-style trays and ready to pop in the oven when you get home. With options like Salisbury steak, chicken pot pie, and chicken parmesan, these are perfect for nights when you want to enjoy Lazy Dog’s scratch-made meals, but don’t have time for the full restaurant experience.
TV Dinners - BBQ Meatloaf, Four Cheese Lasagna, Salisbury Steak, Chicken Parmesan, Cheese Enchiladas, Fried Chicken, Grilled Lemon Chicken, and a Pot Pie
The Beer Club
Speaking of fun, Lazy Dog has a beer club at each of its locations to entice brew lovers. This is a subscription that lets members try beers from craft breweries all over the country through quarterly 8-packs. As soon as you join, you can pick up your first welcome kit (which includes a glass and 4-pack) at the Lazy Dog location of your choosing.
With a Lazy Dog Beer Club membership, you can also receive upgraded brews and monthly beer samplers.. but drinks aren’t the only perk. As a member, you can also enjoy discounts on takeout orders and priority seating at the restaurant during wait times.
