After Hours Events are returning to Walt Disney World beginning January 2023! These events are a fun way to experience even more Disney magic! If you are a thrill seeker and want to ride all your favorite rides with lower than usual wait times, this is the event for you! Interested in learning more? Here is what you need to know about the return of Disney’s After-Hours Events!
What is it?
Disney’s After Hours are a late-night special event that lets you enjoy the parks for three additional hours after the parks close! It is a separately ticketed event, so you will need to purchase tickets to participate in the fun. Included with your ticket are special treats, including ice cream, popcorn, and select beverages. In addition to this, the number of tickets sold for the events are limited, guaranteeing much lower wait times! This means more time to ride all your favorite attractions!
Which parks are participating?
Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios are participating in the After Hours events. At Magic Kingdom, over 20 popular rides and attractions will be open for you to enjoy. You can visit the 999 happy haunts at Haunted Mansion, see the backside of water on the Jungle Cruise, soar to the stars on Space Mountain, as well as say hello to Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Over at Hollywood Studios, you can climb aboard the Millennium Falcon on Smugglers Run or a runaway train on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. You can also shrink down to the size of a toy to visit Toy Story Land, and so much more!
Other Important Information
After Hours ticket sales began on October 7, 2022. Tickets range in price from $129-159 (plus tax). However, this does not include daytime park admission. As always, Disney Vacation Club Members and Annual Passholders can purchase tickets for a discount on select dates. At Hollywood Studios, the event is being held on select nights from January 4, 2023, until April 19, 2023. For Magic Kingdom, it is being held on select nights from January 9, 2023, until March 27, 2023. For a full list of dates and times, please visit the Walt Disney World website.

For any guest that wants to experience more on their Disney World vacation, this is a great way to do it. The low wait times, low crowds, and delicious snacks are more than a good enough reason! It is definitely worth the extra cost, with the amount you can get done equaling more than an entire park day!
