History

Disney parks have been hosting weddings since September of 1991, with Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings & Honeymoons creation in 1992. Due to its immense popularity, Disney created a division that would allow them to help you plan your wedding. By October 1992, they had already facilitated 200 weddings! Disney’s Wedding Pavilion, a gorgeous Victorian wedding chapel, opened in 1995. The first wedding at the pavilion was actually featured on the television show Weddings of a Lifetime.

Event Minimums

If you are engaged or are planning a vow renewal, you can contact a wedding planner on the Disney weddings website to get started on your magical journey. Like some wedding venues, the wedding events require an event minimum expenditure. This price is determined by the ceremony venue, day of the week and time of day that you choose to have the event. The ceremony venue fee can go towards the event minimum price.

You may add food & beverage services to your pre-reception, reception and/or cake and bar service. However, with this service you must meet a per person minimum based on your event timeline. Brunch starts at $140 per person, lunch starts at $175 per person and dinner starts at $210 per person. In addition to this, there is a 6.5% sales tax, plus 25% labor and gratuity charge, that will be added to the cost that does not count towards the minimum expenditure.

Disney offers a gorgeous selection of flowers and floral arrangements for your special day. To assist with the decision making process, you will be assigned an expert floral-designer. You can add your own special touch to each floral piece and customize it with your wedding theme/color. Your floral designer will help to create boutonnieres, corsages, and bouquets for you and your wedding party. The floral designer will also help you pick out the arrangements that will best compliment your ceremony and reception.

Décor is always a fun element of a wedding. It allowed you to add your own personal and creative touches to make your wedding unique. You can choose from items to enhance your ceremony décor, reception décor and/or themed room décor.
