Tucked away in the Oviedo Mall is a vintage lover’s paradise! Duckie’s Vintage Boutique is the place to go for vintage, collectible, and theme park items, including Disney World Cast Member costumes.
Vintage Wares
Duckie’s motto is “Fashion for those who were born in the wrong decade” and that is spot on! Duckie’s has so many clothes from all different eras, as well as accessories, shoes, and jewelry to match! I loved that they separate all of the clothing by era, so if you are looking for something specific, you can head right to that section.
They also decorate the store beautifully by the season. When I visited, they had mannequins sporting vintage Christmas outfits, TVs playing Christmas VHS, and vintage Christmas decor on full display.
They are also known for their incredible record collection. These are also separated by genre, so it should be really easy to find what you are looking for! I don’t even have a record player (though I’ve asked Santa for years!) but it was so much fun browsing through their inventory.
If you love Disney collectibles, this place also has an incredible array of items like vintage Disney cups, pins, jewelry, and artwork. I even found a suitcase that had a Disney map from years ago inside of it!
Whimsical
This store is full of character and personality, and that makes it even more exciting to shop in! The store was full of whimsy and really neat decorations like a replica of Han Solo frozen in carbonite. There were also signs that were fun to read and look at, some which were vintage themselves. Even the little details caught my eye, like how they display their jewelry for sale on old playing cards!
Penguin Point Costumes
Only a couple of doors down from Duckie’s is Penguin Point, the parent store of Duckie’s. Penguin Point is where I found an incredible number of Disney Cast Member costumes, though you can find some inside of Duckie’s too! Penguin Point offers many costumes for sale, as well as costumes to rent! Also categorized by era and theme, it was super easy to find what I was looking for, and also to get lost in the incredible costumes. My favorites were candy cane skirts from the Disney World Christmas parade!
Overall
For incredibly unique items and a shopping experience that is full of fun, visit Duckie’s Vintage Boutique located in Oviedo. I also want to say that both stores were incredibly reasonable with pricing, I’ve never seen so many vintage clothes for such a fair price! Almost all of the items were less than $30, including beautiful full dresses. There are so many items to look at, you’ll have a hard time choosing what to bring home!
Oviedo
Duckie’s Vintage Boutique is located in the Oviedo Mall. Oviedo is the perfect place for families looking for rural and suburban living in Central Florida. Oviedo has also received several awards, including being ranked #43 on Money Magazine’s best places to live in 2020. Located close enough to Downtown, the theme parks, and UCF to only be a short drive away, Oviedo also offers the privacy and small town feel some families are looking for.
