It’s unimaginable to picture polar bears and penguins in Central Florida, especially in the heat of July. However, on International Drive there sits an arctic wonderland where the weather is always 22 degrees! At ICEBAR Orlando, the drinks are served as cold as the chair beneath you.
The Bar
ICEBAR Orlando is one of the most unique bars in Central Florida. It features an entire room that is filled with over 70 tons of hand carved ice! When I say everything is ice, this is not an exaggeration. The walls are made of bricks of ice, chairs are carved from ice, and even the beverages are served in chunks of ice. Admission costs $15 per person, and includes the rental of a thermal coat, gloves, and a free picture download.
The ICEBAR itself serves only drinks, including signature cocktails and shots. When you enter the winter wonderland, you’ll quickly see how much ice is in the room. You’ll feel how chilly the atmosphere is as well with the thermostat at a steady 22 degrees. There are plenty of places to take pictures around the bar, including a giant polar bear shaped chair complete with penguin stuffed animals on top.
Don’t worry about slipping, the floors have sturdy no slip material on them for walking. The chairs also have faux fur pelts on top to keep your bottom warm, and keep you from sliding off.
Fire Lounge
Outside of the ICEBAR is the Fire Lounge. This area is a lot larger as it includes a dance floor and sometimes has live entertainment. The Fire Lounge serves beverages, as well as foods like flatbreads, burgers, and tacos. The theming here is also spot-on like the ICEBAR, with sconces holding fake fire flames, and red lights on the walls. Many of the cocktails here are topped with a flame or have dry ice inside to make them extra bubbly and frosty.
VIP Service
If you are visiting ICEBAR for a special occasion or event, they offer packages for every kind of celebration including bottle service. There are also unique ways to host a bachelorette or birthday party, or to have a special date night!
Overall
ICEBAR Orlando is a super “cool” place to visit to escape the summer sun. With delicious cocktails and a completely immersive dining experience, ICEBAR can treat you to a chilly date night or a night full of dancing at the Fire Lounge. Whenever you visit, I bet you’ll have a hail of a good time!
