Jacksonville Jaguars, UFC and WWE could be headed to Orlando

NFL, WWE ,UFC, and more could be headed downtown!

The potential payoff is huge. County officials estimate that these events could generate more than $225 million in economic impact through hotel bookings, restaurant traffic, tourism, and tax revenue. Jaguars games alone could bring in $20 million each, while WrestleMania and UFC events would likely flood the city with fans and energy. For residents, that means more than just headline names. It means jobs, business growth, and more to do on nights and weekends without leaving town.

To support this wave of incoming events, the city is investing heavily in infrastructure. Orange County also approved a $400 million renovation to Camping World Stadium, designed to modernize the facility and make it competitive with top-tier venues nationwide. Plans include premium seating, a 360-degree concourse, and major fan experience upgrades. Construction is scheduled to finish by late summer 2027, just in time for the Jaguars’ potential season in Orlando. These improvements aren't a temporary fix. They're meant to attract even more high-profile events for years to come.

And the momentum doesn’t stop there. The Orlando Dreamers, led by former Yankees executive Pat Williams, have launched a formal bid to bring Major League Baseball to Central Florida. The proposal includes a privately funded stadium near I-Drive and a vision to make Orlando a true year-round sports city. While it's still early, the effort underscores the city’s growing ambition to become a national player in the sports world. Not just a place people visit, but a place people rally around.

Orlando isn’t just chasing big events. It’s putting real investment behind its future and laying the groundwork to make sports and entertainment a long-term part of the city’s identity, economy, and culture.
