Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar Review

Themed bars are scattered all throughout the Orlando area due to its massive tourism market but Jock Lindsey’s really is a standout spot. Located in Disney Springs, this Indiana Jones themed bar and restaurant is full of snacks and drinks that are absolutely delicious. Let me take you on a guided tour of one of my favorite bars in Disney Springs!

Jock Lindsey Seen Fishing

So what’s the story behind the bar?

Jock Lindsey, Indiana Jones esteemed pilot from Raiders of the Lost Ark, is our bar owner. He’s an easy going pilot who’s been traveling the globe with Indy for years! Back in 1938, while chasing some tips located in the central Florida area, Indy and Jock discovered Disney Springs. They took a liking to the beautiful waterfront views and lush terrain, deciding to settle down and create a spot for other aspiring travelers and treasure hunters.

Theming

If you’ve ever been to a Tiki Bar like Suffering Bastard in Sanford or Trader Sams at the Polynesian you have a general idea of what a nice themed bar looks like. I’d put Jock Lindsey’s somewhere in the middle with Theming.

Designed to be an old flight hangar, the bar is full of plane parts, maps, and oddities. The ceiling is domed with wooden trusses filling the room with dark brown tones. The bar’s backdrop is a huge old map draped across the wall with alcohol scattered about. It has a nice lived in feeling.

At the back of the building there’s a large outdoor patio that has amazing views of the water and of Saratoga Springs Resort. They also have a large boat connected to the building that you can sit on as well! You can easily find yourself drinking and snacking for hours with the relaxing vibes out back on a nice sunny day.

Drinks

There are just under 20 signature cocktails on the menu here at Jock Lindsey’s so I can’t go into every drink, but here are a few of my personal favorites.

Cool-Headed Monkey

This is my personal favorite drink on the menu. It’s got a traditional tiki drink array of ingredients. Starr African Rum, Tangerine Liqueur, Lime Juice, Watermelon Juice, and Pineapple Juice. It’s a nice and fruity delight and comes in a monkey head mug that you can buy as a souvenir as well!

Bedtime Story

This cocktail is sparked with elegant hibiscus and sweet floral notes. It has Mandrin Vodka, Ginger Liqueur, Hibiscus Syrup, Lemon Juice, Iced Tea, and is topped with a candied hibiscus flower.

Hovito Mojito

This classic cocktail does it’s job. If you like Mojito’s you’ll love this cocktail. Barson Quebranta Pisco, fresh Lime Juice, Mint, and Simple Syrup topped with Soda Water.

Snacks

For snacks, some of my standouts would be the Air Pirate’s Pretzel. A massive pretzel that could easily be shared, that comes with spicy mustard and delicious Beer-Cheese Fondue. If you’re looking for something that’s less of a snack and more of a meal, try the Tacos Al Pastor. Citrus-Chipotle Pork Belly, Pineapple Pico de Gallo, Red Cabbage, Grilled Corn Tortilla.

Jock Lindsey’s Holiday Bar

Each year during the Holidays Jock Lindsey throws up Christmas decor and adds a few specials to the menu. You have to get the Cookies and Milk! It’s an assortment of Christmas Cookies with Coquito. If you’ve never had Coquito, it’s the alcoholic embodiment of Christmas. A milky cinnamon rum drink that will have you saying “mmmmm, it’s christmas time”.

Conclusion

It doesn’t matter if you’re a family with kids or out with friends, this is a great middleground to grab food and drinks in a comfortable and themed setting. The views are nice, the drinks are tasty, and the food is scrumptious! Fly in and take a stop at Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar the next time you’re at Disney Springs.
