One of the largest fan events in the southeast is heading back to Orange County Convention Center (OCCC) as MegaCon 2026 will present four days of programming, March 19-22.
Pop culture paradise

The annual event packs comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and gaming into OCCC’s West Concourse with a schedule of panels, meet and greets, workshops, and fan club gatherings. And a gargantuan exhibit hall offers every imaginable must-have, from collectibles to apparel and original artwork.
Economic superpowers
Conventions and industry events are among Orlando's biggest economic drivers with business reps and guests traveling in from around the world. OCCC expects this year's MegaCon attendance to top 160,000 with an estimated economic impact of $405.8 million between hotel stays, food, entertainment and transportation.
231+ Special guests
MegaCon’s celebrity guest lineup will feature a reunion of Lord of the Rings cast members.
The MegaCon guest list spans nearly every entertainment category. Elijah Wood and Sean Astin will reunite with fellow cast members from The Lord of the Rings films. Cast members from The Goonies, Star Trek, and Star Wars will also attend.
A roster of 135 comic creators includes DC Comics President and Publisher, Jim Lee, Dark Knight Returns and Sin City creator, Frank Miller, and Daredevil and The Amazing Spider-Man artist, Joe Quesada. And more guest confirmations are expected.
Check the MegaCon website for information on photo op and autograph scheduling and availability.
Access and after-hours events
VIP level passes sold out early but advanced ticket pricing ends March 4. Four-day and single-day tickets are still available.
Special after-house events include a March 19 kickoff party at ICEBAR Orlando, and a Comics Explosion event at Dave & Busters on I Drive with live art demonstrations by comic artists. Universal Orlando Resort is also hosting a special event on March 20 with nighttime access to rides and attractions at Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure.
Get ready
Whether you’re going for one day or the whole weekend, MegaCon takes planning. Working out a few details before you arrive can help make the most of your experience.

Get there early: Doors open at 4 p.m. on March 19 and at 10 a.m. the rest of the weekend. But parking and picking up your badge takes time. Make sure you're not in a rush, especially for a first-come, first-served program.

Check your schedule: Whether it’s on your phone or a notepad, figure out your daily itinerary and check all event times before you arrive.
Parking: The event offers prepaid parking and spaces usually sell out. Parking by OCCC’s West building is already sold out and the lots by the South concourse are going fast. Offsite parking is available at some hotels and at Pointe Orlando, but be prepared to walk a fair distance before you even enter the exhibit hall.

Cosplay and props: Security includes a Prop Check Desk to ensure everyone complies with event rules and regulations. Costumes should also be tasteful and adhere to event policy. A Cosplay Repair Center has been available at past events with needle and thread, glue, and patching material. But it’s best to carry your own emergency kit in case of breakage.

Shopping: Saturdays are typically busiest on the convention floor and bags are in short supply. Protector sleeves are available from some vendors. Bring your own shopping bag for big purchases and a shipping tube to protect rollable posters and paper art. And a FedEx shipping center is available in the convention hall.

Stay fed and hydrated: Even slow days are busy at MegaCon but making time for basic needs is essential. Outside food is not allowed, so take breaks often and go grab a bite now and then.
Be kind: Lines are long and time is short but everyone is doing their best. Take your time and be patient. And when photographing cosplayers, ask first. They’re usually glad to oblige, but just because someone chooses to dress up doesn’t mean they have to be ok with random pictures.
