The first Florida location of the popular Asian market, H Mart, is opening in Orlando and Central Florida foodies are counting down the minutes. The brand is known as a one-stop shopping experience, but a one-stop dining adventure is also in store.

H Mart opened its first location in 1982 in Woodside, Queens. It is currently the nation's largest Asian supermarket with more than 97 stores across the United States. The “H” stands for the Korean phrase “han ah reum,” which translates to “one arm full” and references its immense selection of grocery items and household essentials.
H Mart Orlando, located at 7501 W Colonial Dr., will offer more than 100,000-square-feet of inventory with fresh produce and meats, ready-to-cook items, and frozen foods. H Mart also features a food hall at each location with Korean, Asian-fusion, and Japanese dishes.

Myung Ga

Myung Ga is a Westin, FL-based restaurant specializing in Korean BBQ and traditional tofu soup with hot stone pot meals.
Oh K-Dog & Egg Toast

Korean rice hot dogs are a take on traditional corn dogs, complimented by a selection of cheeses, toppings, and sauces. Oh K-Dog also serves egg toast with a choice of Teriyaki, avocado, or bacon and cheese.
JAWS Topokki

The Korean comfort food, Topokki, is made of chewy rice cakes simmered with vegetables in a spicy and red chili sauce. Along with variations of the dish, JAWS Topokki serves rice bowls, soups, and Kimbap: a sushi-style seaweed roll filled with rice, meats and vegetables.
U Chun

U Chun's specialty is authentic Korean cold noodles and tofu soup. Some locations also serve hot dishes like beef short rib soup and kimchi stew.
Paik’s Noodle

Paik's Noodle offers a selection of classic Korean-Chinese dishes like Sweet and Sour Pork and Jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup with pork and vegetables).
Chidon, Japanese fried cutlets

The traditional comfort food starts with a pork cutlet, breaded in panko breadcrumbs and deep fried until golden brown. They are served with a savory sauce and a side of shredded cabbage, steamed rice, and miso soup.
H Mart Orlando will celebrate its grand opening at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, with special giveaways and exclusive promotions.
The location will be open seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m, including holidays. Check the website and social media for store details and information on the customer rewards program.
