New Pay-Per-Ride Attractions Moving to Genie Plus

Get ready for an early present from Walt Disney World! Disney just released some huge news earlier today! From December 19, 2021 to January 3, 2022, four individual attraction selections will be available through Disney Genie +

Which attractions will be available?

The attractions making the temporary move are Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom, Frozen Ever After at Epcot, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Hollywood Studios and Expedition Everest at Animal Kingdom. Now, instead of paying per ride for these attractions, they will be included in the $15 per person, per day Genie +. The rides that will be staying in the Individual Attraction selection (pay-per-ride) is Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure at Epcot, Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios, and Avatar Flight of Passage at Animal Kingdom.

Extra Park Time

Disney has also announced today that all Disney World hotel guests and guests at select other hotels will be getting to spend some extra time in the parks! As of right now, select hotel guests can access the parks 30 minutes earlier than all other guests. From December 19, 2021 to January 3, 2022, all Disney World hotel guests will be able to get into the parks 60 minutes before the parks open! Hotel guests will be able to choose whichever park they want on whatever day they want one whole hour earlier. This will be great for guests staying on property during the busy holiday season because they’ll be able to get more rides done. Guests looking to take advantage of this great opportunity need valid hotel reservations, Park Pass reservations and your resort ID.

Overall

This is exciting news for Disney fans and guests visiting during this time. Here’s to hoping that this goes over so well that they will make it permanent instead of for a limited time. What do you think of this big news? Will you be traveling to Disney World during the holidays?
