Orlando Hotel Recommendations

Intro

Being one of the largest tourist locations in the world, Orlando has a ridiculous amount of hotel options for you and your family while visiting. Let us give you a few of our favorite options and make it a little easier making a choice on your next visit.

Grove Resort & Water Park

Staying here means you’re minutes away from both DisneyWorld and Universal Studios. There are multiple floor plans ranging from 1-2 bedroom villas with assorted views. The Grove is best when looking for fully equipped condos/villas for prolonged stays. The grounds are extremely clean and produce a tropical florida vacation-feel, while providing a homey experience. As for amenities, the rooms are fairly basic (i.e 1-2 bedrooms, full kitchen, and 1-2 bathrooms) but the space in these rooms are 100% worth the stay.

On top of all that, your stay comes with access to a fully equipped water park! Multiple slides, a lazy river, a kids play area, a massive pool, and a flow rider! Even when you aren’t at the theme parks, you and your family can enjoy some water park amenities.

Waldorf Astoria

An Orlando Hilton property, located a hop skip and a jump from Walt Disney World, directly adjacent from the Pop Century and Art of Animation Hotels. The majority of rooms have views of all 4 parks which means you and your family get front row seats to all the firework shows the parks orchestrate throughout your stay, all from the comfort of your hotel room!

Price wise, you’re getting the location and views for a lower offer than what some Disney properties present. Although, expect the same attention to detail because this property is a Disney Partnered hotel(..meaning, you’ll get the benefits of using the shuttle from parks and have the ability to take advantage of park reservation opportunities) but you are closer to Magic Kingdom and other parks when choosing different accommodations such the Polynesian or the Contemporary, which are located directly on Disney Property.  Rooms range from 1-2 bedroom lock offs and offer basic amenities. Stays include in room dining services, balcony access, golfing options, and on site dining options.

Bohemian Hotel – Celebration

Located right on Lake Rainhard and only about 30 minutes from Orlando International, is the Bohemian Hotel in Celebration. This hotel was built in 1999 and has made its way to the top ranked places to stay in Orlando. As an incredibly popular location, it’s 92 rooms tend to fill up fast. If you’re looking to vacation in the area–I would always advise to reach out ahead of time for reservations! The Resort offers lakeside pool and patio & event area, an on site gym, and access to the restaurant and luxury lounge. Rooms range from 1-6 person held rooms, more comparable to double suites than villas or condos.

It is much smaller than most hotels in the area but that fact lies in its age, being 30 years old. But modernity isn’t something this location isn’t fluent in, it brings a plethora of guests to the property which means they must tend to all kinds of intentions! Whether it’s business meetings that can be held in common rooms or the restaurant near the lobby, family vacations or a getaway trip with a loved one, the Bohemian has adapted and created designated spaces for all guests.  Being so close to the water and just a short drive from the parks is precisely the reason tourists choose the Bohemian!

Loews Portofino Hotel

If you’re looking to stay on Universal Property or just looking for a nice resort stay in close proximity to everything Orlando has to offer, Lowes Portofino Hotel is a great option. The resort is themed as a small town in Italy. The lobby and interior walkways look as if you’re walking through the streets of Italy. The true beauty of this hotel comes when you walk out the back doors and see the small bay area lined with boats, giving you an authentic Italian feel.

With all these great views come some wonderful amenities! Hop on a boat and take a short ride straight to Universal City Walk. You also get free express passes for staying at the hotel, so if you’re looking to go to the park this is a huge added value.

The hotel has multiple room options. Single king, two queens, themed kids rooms, and suites. This is one of the higher end hotels on Universal property so make sure you book in advance. It can get pretty packed!

Conclusion

This is just a taste of some hotel and resort options in Orlando. There are so many to choose from that it can be difficult to make a decision. Don’t forget you can always look into b&bs as another option. There are plenty of affordable options in the Orlando area and many of them come with pools, arcades, themed rooms, and more!
