What to Expect at the All-Inclusive Resort
As soon as you arrive at Discovery Cove, you’re treated like a VIP. A staff member greets guests at the resort’s reception center each morning before leading them to a day in paradise.
Complimentary amenities during a visit include fresh towels and sunscreen, snorkeling gear, lockers, showers and changing facilities, and so much more to enjoy.
Prices range from $150 to $400, depending on the day chosen. However, up until August 4th you can take advantage of their limited time offer of up to 40% off! There’s also a special 20% off discount for Florida residents year round.
Stunning Atmosphere
Discovery Cove truly immerses each visitor in a tropical environment, starting with Serenity Bay. The resort pool looks just like a beach-front vacation spot, with white sand, gentle waves, palm trees and lush greenery all around. Whether you’re enjoying the sun on the shore or swimming throughout the pool, your time will be, well, serene.
If you’re up for more movement, the Wind-Away River will take you on a journey through awe-inspiring sights. You’ll travel from a rainforest to cascading waterfalls, and even through an underwater cave, all while relaxing on a soothing current in crystal-clear water.
You’ll have access to lounge chairs and hammocks all over the resort during the day, but if you want a more private space, you can reserve a cabana with a water view. These can range from $299 to $899 depending on package and date chosen.
Unlimited Food and Drinks
A major perk at this all-inclusive resort is unlimited food and drinks. That means a gourmet breakfast and lunch at Laguna Grill, endless snacks at Hibiscus Hideaway and Blue Bamboo Bar, and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages at various establishments throughout the park.
The beverages include water, coffee, sodas, and more, as well as select beer and wine for guests who are 21 and over. If you want more premium alcoholic beverages, including signature cocktails, you can pay an extra charge or secure a drink package for the day $40.
Up-Close Animal Encounters
One of the biggest draws of Discovery Cove is the opportunity to meet different animals. During your visit, you will have the chance to explore any these locations:

The Grand Reef: Snorkel amongst a wide range of beautiful, tropical fish, as you check out islands, hidden grottos, and stunning habitats.

Freshwater Oasis: Though there’s a partition, you can swim alongside playful otters while you make your way to Marmoset Island, where you can enjoy face-to-face encounters with a group of curious primates.

Explorer’s Aviary: Walk into a unique habitat and meet (and feed!) hundreds of colorful birds while they fly all around you.
Want to swim with sharks? You can get up close and personal with up to 20 tropical sharks for only $169. This includes a special shark training session with Discovery Cove’s expert Aquarists, where you can learn all about each type of shark and their habitat.
With special packages, you can enjoy even more animal adventures, like swimming with dolphins, feeding stingrays, taking a walking tour of the Grand Reef, or even being a trainer for a day, an experience that comes with many private animal meet-and-greets, photo sessions, and other unique experiences.

Overall
Discovery Cove is a fun and unique experience, but it also works toward a good cause. The company commits to conservation efforts to protect oceans and marine life, and some of its programs donate proceeds to nonprofits. Discovery Cove is also a Certified Autism Center, and it’s able to offer specialized services to guests with autism or other needs.
Daily attendance is limited, so you must book your visit in advance. It’s safe to say, though, that it’s a visit you will never forget!
