September brings with it a treasure trove of festivals and celebrations. Whether you’re a music enthusiast or a foodie, an art aficionado or an outdoor adventurer, there's something for everyone in this month's festival lineup, many of them free of charge!

Blue Bamboo Jazz Festival

Sept. 14-17 
Blue Bamboo Center For The Arts | Free Admission (reservations recommended)

The Blue Bamboo Center for the Arts, located in Winter Park, is throwing their 2nd annual jazz festival! This 4 day celebration showcases a diverse group of local jazz artists, as well as a Jazz Photography exhibit highlighting the work of historic photographer Roger Kailins.


WizardFest

Sept. 16 at 7 PM

The Abbey, situated right next to Lake Eola, is transforming their venue into a fantasy wonderland for a night of WizardFest. Fantasy fanatics can rejoice as this interactive fantasy-themed event will feature a cosplay costume contest, wizard games and trivia, and wizard-themed drinks! International Food & Drink Festival 2023

Sept. 17 from 11 AM - 9 PM
Festival Park | Free Admission

This year hosts the 8th edition of the International Food & Drink Festival 2023 and will be taking place at Festival Park in Downtown Orlando. This family-friendly and pet-friendly event highlights some of Orlando’s top restaurants and food trucks all in one place for one epic day, along with live music, food eating contests and some prizes!

 

21st Annual Global Peace Film Festival

Sept. 18 - 23
Winter Park / Orlando (venues vary) | $10 Screenings / $150 Festival Pass 

The Global Peace Film Festival is a unique event that believes in creating dialogue, spurring change, and promoting peace through the power of film. Every year, the festival curates a dynamic program that showcases a number of moving films for the public to enjoy, all for a good cause. Tickets can be bought at peacefilmfest.org


Orlando Salsa Festival

Sept. 22 at 7 PM

Featuring the legendary Willie Colón and El Gran Combo, this year’s Salsa Festival is sure to be one of the spiciest yet! The Orlando Salsa Festival is a concert event that is the perfect opportunity to grab your partner and dance the night away at the ultimate salsa event of the year. World Psychic Fair

Sept. 23 from 12 - 5 PM
Central Florida Fairgrounds | $9 Admission

Just in time for the spooky season, the World Psychic Fair is coming to the Central Florida Fairgrounds this month! For lovers of all things mystic and macabre, this supernatural event will be hosting a number of vendors, psychics, tarot readers, and much more for locals to have fun with. Lake Nona VegFest

Sept. 30 from 11 AM - 5 PM
USTA National Campus | Free Admission

This fully vegan festival will feature over 60 food vendors and local businesses offering their best meat-free products in town! Located at the USTA National Campus this year, this family and pet-friendly event welcomes everyone to come out and enjoy a day of healthy eating.

Oktoberfest

Sept. 30 at 4 PM
Lake Nona Town Center | Free Admission

Lake Nona gets ahead of the game this year with their upcoming Oktoberfest near the end of this month! Located at the Lake Nona Town center, this classic event will be filled with live music, German food, German—themed entertainment, and their annual Stein Hoisting competition (in case you didn’t know either, it’s a strength contest to see who can hold a one-liter stein the longest!).

September offers a diverse array of events for all interests and ages! From jazz festivals to wizardry events, international cuisine, films for peace, salsa, the supernatural, vegan delights, and Oktoberfest, there's a festival for everyone to enjoy in Orlando.
