Top 8 Walt Disney World Restaurants to Splurge On

Walt Disney World has some of the best restaurants and let’s face it- they can be a bit pricey! There are more than 200 different places to get food on Walt Disney World property, this includes 90 full-service restaurants! We have compiled a list of the top 8 Walt Disney World Restaurants that you should splurge on this year. Many of the restaurants on property are excellent, but these are the restaurants that are excellent and a little on the expensive side.

1. ‘Ohana

Ohana is one of the most popular and delicious restaurants on Walt Disney World Property. It is located on the second floor of the Grand Ceremonial House at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and has some of the best views! Breakfast and Dinner are served here and while they are both good, we are going to talk about the dinner menu because it has more of a unique selection and a pricier menu. Dinner is priced at $55 a person and offers delicious Polynesian-themed food that is served family style.

Guests can enjoy a fresh mixed greens salad, signature ‘Ohana bread, honey coriander chicken wings, pork dumplings tossed in garlic sauce and the main course- the ‘Ohana Dinner Skillet. This features delicious, tender wood-fire grilled Teriyaki Beef, Spicy Shrimp, Grilled Chicken with Polynesian-inspired Chimichurri Sauce, the famous ‘Ohana noodles and roasted broccolini. The dessert here is divine and is a fan-favorite, the ‘Ohana Bread Pudding. This may be one of the best desserts that I have ever had in Walt Disney World! If you have a reservation to eat here during the fireworks show at Magic Kingdom, you are in for a treat! Not only do you have spectacular views of the fireworks, but the music is piped in so you can enjoy the show while you eat.

2. Topolino’s Terrace

Topolino’s Terrace is one of the newer restaurants at Walt Disney World. It is located in the beautiful Riviera Resort. ‘Ohana has some great views, but Topolino’s Terrace takes the cake- they offer the best views! This restaurant offers high quality food, a fine dining experience and like I said- excellent views! Breakfast and dinner are offered here. Breakfast is $42 per person and is a character meal featuring Mickey & friends. There are some unique dishes for breakfast including Quiche Lorriane Frittata and Sour Cream Waffle. For dinner, guests can indulge in fresh and delicious seafood and meat dishes, incredible handmade pasta, and decadent desserts with Italian and French flair. Topolino’s Terrace is also a great place to view the Epcot fireworks!

3. The Hollywood Brown Derby

The Hollywood Brown Derby is one of the best restaurants in all four Walt Disney World parks. This restaurant is modeled after the famous landmark restaurant in Hollywood, California. It has a very upscale and chic ambiance and has an excellent menu. One of the most popular items on the menu is their famous Cobb Salad. For $20, you get a fresh and delicious bowl of spit-roasted turkey, bacon, egg, tomatoes, blue cheese, avocado and their classic dressing. You must try this at least once! They also have a juicy Filet Mignon, which I highly recommend, and I have heard nothing but good things about their seafood selection. For dessert, the fan-favorite here is the Grapefruit Cake. It’s a Brown Derby original and it is very good! Lunch and dinner are offered here, and prices range from $35-60 per adult.

4. Via Napoli Ristorante e Pizzeria

Via Napoli Ristorante is the best Italian food that Disney has to offer. Located in Epcot’s Italy Pavilion, guests will be treated to fine and authentic Italian dining without having to leave Florida! The pizza here is cooked in massive wood ovens and tastes incredible. It has been said that they actually import the ingredients so that it is truly authentic Italian food! Pizza will run you $22 for an individual pizza, $33 for a large pizza and $44 for a ½ meter pizza and it serves about 3-4 people. Other delicious items on the menu include Chicken Parmesan for $34, Filetto di Manzo for $40 and Branzino for $35. Dessert here is a dream! They offer a wide array of delicious Italian pastries and desserts such as cannolis, tiramisu, panna cotta, torta della nonna and more!

5. Le Cellier Steakhouse

Le Cellier Steakhouse offers some of the most exquisite steaks in all of Walt Disney World. It is located in Epcot’s Canada Pavilion. The restaurant is designed to resemble a wine cellar and makes for an intimate setting. One of the menu’s signature dishes is the Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup. The steaks are 100% worth the money. Each bite is as good as the last and they are made with the best cuts of meat. Le Cellier Filet Mignon is one of the best dishes. At $59, it includes an AAA Canadian Tenderloin, mushroom risotto, asparagus-tomato relish, and truffle butter sauce. While steak is the main focus of the menu, they also offer a wide variety of other dishes such as seafood, plant-based items and pork dishes.

6. California Grill

California Grill is an incredible fine signature dining location. It is located at the top of Disney’s Contemporary Resort and offers amazing panoramic views of Magic Kingdom and Seven Seas Lagoon. This restaurant is one of the few restaurants in all of Walt Disney World that has a dress code. This is also an excellent place to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks! California Grill has very sophisticated décor and an amazing ambiance. For Walt Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, the California Grill is offering a special menu that evokes the spirit of 1971, the year Walt Disney World opened.

At $89 a person, guests will be treated to a 3-course meal including an appetizer, an entrée and a dessert. Appetizers include the California Grill Sushi Classics Trio, Braised Beef Short Rib Wontons or Artisanal-style Duck a l’Orange Pizza. Entrees include Oak Fired Filet of Beef, Cast Iron-Grilled Pork Tenderloin or Florida Coast Black Grouper. Dessert is the 5 Magical Bites 50 Years in the Making. This restaurant is incredible, and I highly recommend it.

7. Tiffins Restaurant

One of the most fun restaurants to dine at all the while still being one of Disney’s best kept secrets is Tiffins. It’s is located in Discovery Island at Animal Kingdom. It will cost between $35-60 per person for lunch or dinner. This restaurant is themed to be an adventurer’s club and has elements of travel everywhere you look. There are three different dining rooms that honor Africa, Asia and the world’s most exotic animals.

The food here is wonderful and will make your mouth water. For appetizers, many guests love the spiced chickpea falafel, charred octopus, or their signature bread service. For dinner, try the tamarind-braised short rib or the surf and turf. One of my favorite desserts is the passion fruit tapioca crème- it is equal parts unique and delicious! The next time you are at Animal Kingdom, come and try this hidden gem- you will love it!

8. Victoria & Albert’s

Victoria & Albert’s is the most expensive restaurant by far on this list. This AAA 5-Diamond Restaurant is located in Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort. Many people argue that this is the best restaurant in all of Walt Disney World. Victoria & Albert’s offers a prix-fixe six course meal that consists of gourmet and specialty dining options. The price is a pre-set price here and starts at around $200 per person. There are upgrades and wine pairings that will cost you an additional fee. The menu changes daily and there is a strict dress code that is enforced.

Past dishes have included Imperial caviar with Alaskan King Crab, Nantucket Scallops, Wild Turbot, Maple-glazed Manchester quail, Texas Wild Boar, Australian Kobe-style Beef, Miyazaki Japanese Beef, Selections of Fine Cheese and Gelato, and Trinitario Chocolate Mousse. There is also an option to dine in Queen Victoria’s Room. This ten-course meal will run you about $235 per guest and does not include tax or gratuity. The Chef’s Table option is a 7-10 course meal and costs $250 per guest. To dine in Victoria & Albert’s Dining Room, it will cost $235, and you are offered a 10 course “degustation menu”. Victoria & Albert’s is very expensive, but the food is incredible. It is important to note that this restaurant is still temporarily closed and will open at a later date.

Overall

All of these restaurants are incredible and are worth the extra money. Most of them not only offer amazing food, but the views are spectacular as well. If you are looking for adventurous and unique dishes that are sure to satisfy your taste buds, look no further! These eight restaurants are the perfect place to try dishes unlike anything you’ve ever had before. If you have some room in your budget, I would highly recommend any of these places.
