Universal’s holiday lineup includes Epic Universe additions

By Jim Carchidi

Universal Orlando Resort announced its 2025 Holidays Celebration and the events will include first-time experiences in select worlds at Epic Universe.

Beginning November 21 and running through January 4, 2026, guests can reconnect with holiday favorites like Grinchmas in Seuss Landing at Islands of Adventure, Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s. An October 8 announcement offered a preview of what will be found at two Epic Universe worlds:

  • The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic will get a holiday makeover similar to Hogsmeade at Universal Islands of Adventure and Diagon Alley at Universal Studios Florida. Hot Butterbeer and seasonal wizarding merchandise will also be available.
  • Celestial Park will highlight its walkways and fountains with seasonal lighting and decorations.

What's coming back

  • Christmas in The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will bring back special performances by The Frog Choir in Hogsmeade, Celestina Warbeck and the Banshees in Diagon Alley, and the nighttime projection spectacle, “The Magic of Christmas at Hogwarts Castle."
  • Grinchmas will offer its live retelling of “How the Grinch Stole Christmas!” during “The Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular” but a new Who-ville Tree Lot will feature a collection of themed trees inspired by Dr. Seuss characters.
  • Universal’s Holiday Parade featuring Macy’s will fill Universal Studios Florida streets with floats, music, giant balloons, and a host of fan favorite characters topped off by Santa Claus lighting the park’s 80-foot Christmas tree.

CityWalk celebrations

Universal CityWalk will also be in on the fun as the Red Coconut Club will celebrate the season as the Green and Red Coconut Club. The decorations, live entertainment and holiday-themed cocktails will join seasonal food and beverage offerings at other CityWalk venues along with appearances by Universal Orlando’s holiday mascot, Earl the Squirrel, on select days.

Special menus and decor will be offered at every Universal Orlando Resort hotel, and the special Universal Holiday Tour offers a look at all of the holiday offerings across Universal Studios Florida and Islands of Adventure.
