Wave Hotel in Lake Nona

By Chase Farmer

Locals and tourists alike are in for something truly magnificent with the recent opening of the Wave Hotel in Lake Nona. This place has insane energy, outstanding colors and cutting edge design and technology backing it up. Now standing as Lake Nona’s highest building, 234 rooms built to perfection later, Wave is now open. Wave has exceeded expectations completely and has definitely impressed the community.

Art Influence

What makes The Wave really stand out is the leisurely vibe, the stunning art throughout every hallway, the plays on architecture and furniture, it’s all so enveloping, it’s exciting, it’s new! Something will have you taken aback with every turn you take. It’s the colors and patterns of the floors, the elevators, the walls, everything about this place is remarkable. The attention to detail contends with theme parks in the area!

Having this amount of interactive art is so integral to Wave’s attractiveness. There’s paintings, lighting fixtures, fun furniture in cool colors and shapes or completely flipped on one side like a sculpture, it’s like walking through fusion art everywhere you turn. The building itself is a work of art, a gigantic, 17 story, glass wave overlooking Lake Nona. Jam packed with modern paintings from local and international artists, sculptures, handcrafted furnishings and an overall retro style theme.

What’s really exciting about all of the art showcased here is the Charging Bull addition to Lake Nona. This bull has been referred to as the Wall Street Bull and was made by Arturo di Modica, who has bulls in Windermere, Fl, Albany in New York and one in the Bahamas. Portraying strength and power in all locations, placing it here in Lake Nona is watching a piece of history find it’s new home, so cool!
